These will go nowhere. Pumped hydro is usually cost efficient since they use two lakes and a hill. Holes in the ground are cheap. Concrete spheres are not cheap. Wind turbine energy harvesting depends on swept area covered by the blades. Anything that isn’t a long blade is much, much, less cost effective.
