My original theory on Musk’s political activity was that he simply wanted generally higher energy prices. Kind of a conundrum though, storage likes to be paired with cheap renewables, and the much heavier thumb is on the fossil side on the scale.

The CEO said it would happen eventually. I don’t think he or anyone expected it would be in a year of sudden cancellation of tax credits on top of slowed sales.
