This Administration is so anti science it is literally trying to commit national suicide. America leads the world in biomedical research and they slash NIH funding. We lead the world in AI (just) which needs massive amounts of power and they make it as hard as they can to generate new power. We were way behind but starting to catch up in renewable energy and electric vehicles, and they’re killing them too. Literally insane
Everything Trump touches dies, and he’s touched the US.
All this because Trump has an infantile snitfit over losing a court case in Scotland trying to prevent offshore windmills in sight of his golf course, and on top of it having to pay over a quarter million in court expenses. He’s happy to wreck a whole industry, drive thousands out of jobs, and drive up energy costs for everyone to get his “revenge”.
Once he’s dead everything we’ll right itself. Solar and wind are cheaper now than gas and coal. Money doesn’t give a shit about your politics.
Remember, midterms matter. Congress can make his executive orders related to this moot.
The phrase “enemies, foreign and domestic” … is so crystal clear these days.

It’s wild how quickly the narrative flipped. Just a few years ago, clean energy was billed as the future of American competitiveness, and now we’re watching federal directives strangle projects before they can even get built. Yes. Because Big Oil gave Trump, America’s most corrupt president, a lot of money, so he is now trying to funnel all American money spent in the energy sector back to their dying industry. At the complete expense of the America’s energy future.
Trump and MAGA are not forever. When they’re out of power, we’ll resume using our brains to build wind and solar. At the end of the day, they’re cheaper and money talks, BS walks.
