I’m really starting to believe that Hegseth didn’t see his alcoholic face in the press enough and wanted a big showing. Not seeing your own face on TV after being accustomed to re-watching your daily masterful performance on Fox and Friends probably hit him (and the bottle) hard.
I think he really just wanted performance art and was using the entire upper echelon of military command to do it. In the most OPSEC insane way ever.
