  2. I mean, he did campaign on implementing tariffs and doing immigration raids. What else would they have expected?

any latinos who voted for him…i have no sympathy for. He clearly laid out his plans and he executed those plans with great prejudice. They got what they voted for, they got the consequences they “deserve”.

  4. They’re getting what they asked for, not what they wanted. They can stew in it like the rest of us.

Look, folks, I have to tell you, nobody loves the Latino people more than me — nobody. I’ve had the best relationships, tremendous relationships, incredible people. And let me say something very important: I love Mexican food. I really do. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos — you name it, I love it, I’ve had it all, and it’s fantastic, absolutely fantastic.

You know, when I eat a taco bowl — and I’ve had the best taco bowls, by the way, people say, “Mr. Trump, that’s the best taco bowl I’ve ever seen” — I think of the wonderful Mexican-American people who make this country so strong. And by the way, they work hard, harder than anybody, maybe harder than me — and that’s hard to do!

So when people ask, “Do you like Latinos?” I say, look, I love Latinos, I love their food, I love their spirit, and quite frankly, I love their votes. They’re smart, they’re tough, and they know I’m the guy who’s going to make sure they keep winning, winning, winning. And together — with a big taco bowl in hand — we’re going to make America greater than ever before. Tremendous!

  6. I don’t have anything compassionate to say about this. The most generous I can be is that media bubbles and there associated algorithms can certainly prevent people from seeing certain events, and Univision is run by fascists, too.

Next time a presidential canadate says they’re going to do mass deportation and tariffs, believe them.

Dude…like of all people that voted for Trump this bloc makes zero fucking sense.

Miami especially….you are all fucked, he said you’d be fucked, he pointed to you, your family, your kids and said fuck you…

    Then you voted for him…wtf…

  9. It’s gonna be a long 3 years for them (and that’s if trump can’t successfully cancel the next election).

And if he does, that’s also on these voters.

Also, if you voted for him….it rhymes with ‘yuck’, and it’s all yours.

  10. Doubt.

Latinos who voted for Trump won’t feel anything until it’s their door ICE is knocking on

i feel no pity for the latinos that voted for trump facing their just desserts. sucks it comes at such extreme measure but i am telling you. people, white, black, asians, etc. There are people in our community who think they’re ‘white’ just because they’re in the US, that they’re better and they will continue to knife the progressive movement b/c they’re comfortable. This is a necessary reminder that ‘white’ is a social construct and they’re not a part of it. And here is the thing, give them a more moderate republican the next, say a mitt romney, someone that does deportations in a ‘nicer’ manner and they’ll vote republican again, because for them it’s about their immediate comfort. as long as someone from their family isn’t deported, they do not care.

I really struggle to muster up sympathy for non-white-Christian-male group now looking around with shocked expressions.

  13. All of the things he explicitly said he was going to do, or were expected outcomes of those policies. So fucking frustrating…

  14. I have been talking to some Latinos here in Texas, they are not happy. In particular, they did not anticipate being racially profiled by ICE. I am not sure if Trump is going to get those extra seats in Texas or not (assuming everything is legal and there are no further shenanigans).

  15. Today a family of latinos at the park got rounded up to be deported. The picture of the raid, on reddit, was of a young girl sobbing while holding a baby doll and the parents looking around nervously.

Thats the america trump wanted. They never should have been so high on him in the first place

  16. Trump performed historically well with Latinos. I know it’s wrong, but that simple fact nullifies any collective sympathy I have for this voter block.

  17. Electronic-Tension-7 on

Fact remains there are sizable chunk of Latino men who are closer to Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz across the spectrum. Trump is unpopular but not sure how much that would swing the pendulum.

  18. Too late it doesn’t matter how Latinos feel now. No more ekections is what tRUMP is aiming for. A small flase flag operation here and there results in martial law. Enjoy soeaking Russian now.

The fact that any Latinos voted for a guy whose party openly said they don’t want Latinos in their vision of a white Christian America blows my mind.

    ¡¿No sabe leer, carajo?!
