  1. They’re coming to take a loyalty oath. To hear a speech about “warrior ethos.” To take a physical fitness test.

These are among the array of theories outsiders have floated in their attempts to explain a mysterious mass gathering Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hastily ordered last week, summoning hundreds of top military commanders to Quantico, Virginia, on Sept. 30.

The Pentagon isn’t dropping hints about why it ordered its highest-level officers from around the world to report to the base for an 8 a.m. meeting, which will likely cost taxpayers millions of dollars and create security challenges at home and abroad.

Preparations for the gathering have ratcheted up since President Donald Trump revealed that he would make an appearance at what he called a “very nice meeting.”

I’ll be glued in the news whole day. Hopefully there will be no more another “intervention” announcement after this

  3. I feel sorry for the people who live in Quantico, the actual town surrounded by the base. It’ll be a nightmare for them to go anywhere today.

  4. Lol it’s not coming out of *his* pocket.

Once again I’d like to thank the Trump voters and the idiots who sat out of the election for leading us here. What a farce of a country we have.

  5. Imagine if Russia thought about a few Kinzhal missiles. All of the US generals & admirals in 1 place, plus the President….I can’t imagine a more moronic configuration. Might as well just leave your parked car running at the mall with the keys in the ignition…

  6. Don’t be surprised if the US declares war on someone in the next 30 days. Full scale. Not only have they been setting up the pretext for war for the past few months, but the timing would fit their typical game plan of distraction with one hand while stealing your rights with the other.

  7. Lets look at the bright side!

When the government shuts down tomorrow (10/1/2025) we won’t have to pay to fly all those pesky flag officers back to their duty stations. So there is a little money saving….

  8. Perfect opportunity for all the top brass to get together and agree that enough is enough, and that there’s an urgent need to restore some semblance of sanity to the government by whatever means necessary

  9. The US generals and admirals will all be present at Quantico at the same time and in one spot and he let the world know about it – it’s a good thing the US does not have any enemies.

  10. Top military generals…secretary of defense…the president…all in one place at one time.

Begs the question: what would our enemies do?

  11. The ‘Warrior Ethos’ – So damn corny.

No general in China’s army could walk in any of our senior military officers shoes. I doubt a pep rally is needed to remind them that. This is for the Führer to stroke his ego because he wasn’t invited to China and Putin’s war party.

  12. They all had to be there yet I’m watching it on TV. So. Maybe just send them a video to watch next time.

  13. They couldn’t even keep the meeting secret. Of course there will need to be unprecedented security. A good start would’ve been to not announce that every fucking military leader including SecDef and POTUS will be in one place.

    Fucking amateurs.

  14. Can you imagine having a star on your collar and having to travel 8000 miles to listen to a guy repeat canned lines from his book? And to be lectured about the “Warrior ethos?”

This had got to be going over like a fart in church
