I was thinking about this more and don’t get me wrong, the dude is not well.. but also, I feel like we are using mental decline to explain away what is simply an awful human being, who this term is without any of guardrails of his first term.
One of my family members has the alliments Trump seems to be suffering from (heart failure, renal failure, micro stroke, and cognitive decline that goes hand and hand with that) but that family member has been living with these conditions for half a decade. That family member still drives a car, goes grocery shopping, lives their life.
I feel like there’s a hope that “trumps going to die any minute” and “he’s only doing this because he’s sick and dying” in reality he’s elderly and not well but he’s probably also always been this way and we are just seeing him finally unfiltered.
Remember, when the Ukraine war kicked off, they floated rumors that Putin was dying. He’s still here and still terrible.
I can’t decide if this is just misinformation and propaganda to downplay the sheer evil or some miss placed hope.

Dramatic Mental Decline is actually a benefit for conservative politics. Bad Government is their bread and butter campaign strategy, so there’s no need to deliver on anything. Just cut taxes and deregulate while taking as many bribes as possible. It doesn’t take a genius.
