    Trump makes it easy. Posting about how awesome and expensive the gold in his office is while a lot of Americans are suffering with out of control energy bills and grocery costs is just asking for it.

    I think the article gets the meaning of the “let them eat cake” line wrong…. “Cake” at the time was basically the crusty leftover shit from the bread ovens, so she was basically saying they could eat scraps of burnt trash, not suggesting they could find a way to afford birthday cake.
