  1. Jonathan Chait: “Stephen Miller spent his weekend, as he is wont to do, describing American politics as if the nation were in the advanced stages of civil war and as if he were dictating a message while racing to a mountain hideout to escape bloodthirsty guerillas. ‘There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded,’ he wrote on X. ‘And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors and attorneys general. The only remedy is to use legitimate state power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks.’

The provocation for this “was an unfavorable judicial ruling (by a judge contravening President Donald Trump’s federal takeover of 200 National Guardsmen in Oregon). But violent defiance has become the animating vision through which Miller—and, therefore, on account of his sweeping influence over domestic politics, the Trump administration—views his conflict with Democrats, the media, the judiciary, or any entity that stands in his path.

“The most consistent theme in Trump’s career is that any word or deed that he deems contrary to his political interests is illegitimate. Any unfavorable news story is libel, any election he loses is rigged, any unflattering fact pattern is a hoax, and almost anybody who opposes him should be locked up.

“Miller’s career was defined, in its early stages, by a fanatical hatred of immigration. Over time, as Miller has emerged as the chief architect of Trump’s second-term agenda, his worldview and Trump’s have blended together.

“‘The Democrat Party is not a political party,’ he said in August. ‘It is a domestic extremist organization.’ Several weeks later, Trump seized on Charlie Kirk’s assassination to depict his own political opponents as accessories to murder. ‘For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,’ he said, in remarks reportedly written by Miller. ‘This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.’

“Kirk’s death became the immediate pretext for using state power to crush political opposition. As the shock of that murder has worn off, Miller is shifting to a more durable pretext: the political and legal backlash against Trump’s expansive deployment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

  2. The timer is gonna run out on this idiotic MAGA shit and the sycophants like Miller are gonna be left holding the bag.

  3. Guys try the pills and the shampoos and the folicule therapies, but most just start wearing a hat, or embrace the diy dad look.

This guy went bald and never recovered.

God please put this ugly MF back into the garbage can from which he slithered.

  5. Miller’s weekend of being a psychotic reply guy does not look like a regime that’s in control. He’s floundering and he knows it. They spent the last decade trying to build a right-wing ethnostate, and they’re gonna fall apart before they can even get to the finish line because Trump’s falling apart and the entire country isn’t going into lockstep like they expected. He is fully aware of *all of this* and like a trapped snake, he’s lashing out of desperation.

Don’t fall for the tough guy bullshit, that’s the only thing giving them legitimacy.

Count Squidula von Cuckenstein sounds completely insane. Can we have him committed?

  7. Miller is the evil behind Donald Trump. I don’t know that all of the horrible things that the Trump admin implements are Miller’s ideas, but I can imagine that many of them are. A somewhat interesting part of this is that in his first term with Trump, Miller seemed to take more of a back seat and didn’t seem to be much for public appearances. Now, he seems to be ramping up his face time on stage and in interviews.

This seems like it is very much a Hitler-esque type of progression towards power. Which given Miller’s affinity for white supremacy, would not surprise me that he might be attempting to progress in the same type of fashion that Hitler did in the 20s and 30s.

All he needs is a douchey little ‘stache, some glasses, and an ill-fitting uniform coat and he’d literally be the reincarnation of Heinrich Himmler.

This guy will never be welcome in this country again. A forever villain. He’s is despised by everyone.

Miller has nowhere to go. He is being backed into a corner and will burn it down or be burned down.

I’m starting to sense that the Supreme Court isn’t going to be able to push as far as the right thought they were going to. There is a growing push back from the lower courts on a lot of this bulshit, and the SC’s legitimacy is going to be highly in question if they have to start overturning a lot of lower court decisions.

The tariff case will be the sign. The tariffs are so blatantly illegal, if they are upheld, it really is the end. Taxation without representation started some shit 250 years ago.

  12. What I wouldn’t give to see this loser prosecuted, convicted, and tossed into gen pop one day.

“There is a large and growing movement of RIGHTwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-RIGHT Conservative judges, prosecutors and attorneys general. The only remedy is to ACTUALLY use legitimate LEGAL/CONSTITUTIONAL power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks.”

    Fixed it to reflect reality.

Has he gotten high on his own supply? He seems so over the top it is hard for me to believe he is purely cynical and only pushing for personal power. He doesn’t seem to exercise enough restraint in his speech to be very effective in a Machiavellian kind of way.

If this administration had turned down the heat a bit they would have been more successful in boiling the frogs. Flooding the zone with shit has worked pretty well, but eventually you need to reign in the chaos and govern, to further your agenda. He sounds crazy, even from a MAGA point of view.

  15. Sadly, there are still educated adults who think what they are doing makes sense. I get the red neck idiots who still think the Civil War is active. They were always stupid, but college educated adults support this crap.

These ghouls are so scared of their own shadows, there’s a reason they’re unhinged and going full-blown fascist in the first year. These aren’t the actions or statements of a president/administration with a mandate. They’re going to fall hard and pay for their crimes, eventually.

Amazing we even got here when Drumpf’s campaign rallies were poorly attended, followed by canceling multiple rallies and appearances/interviews leading up to the election, when Harris/Walz rallies were packed, energetic, etc. Oh, and Trump told multiple audiences “you’ll never have to vote again” amongst many other questionable statements. Totally legit election we had in 2024, amirite?

  17. McCarthyism died when an Army lawyer stood up to McCarthy’s deranged attacks and simply said to him “Have you no sense of decency?”

I think about this when i see Miller preaching hate against tens of millions of his fellow Americans and calling them terrorists because they won’t go quietly into his dark, fascist vision for the country. The man has no sense of decency, no shame in lying to the country and no end to the hate in his soul. When will America wake up and recognize the cancer that has been placed at the highest levels of government? We should not have people like this in charge.

In a just world, this fucking ghoul wouldn’t be able to set foot outside his home without getting pelted with rotten tomatoes.

  20. I’m surprised that nobody’s figured out, give Stephen the hype of what is happening and downplay the shit out of Trump. Trump hates not being the face of any of it. He would just kick, Miller, all the way the fuck off.

  21. He’s terrified what’s going to happen when the Boss has shuffled off this earthly coil. And by all indications, maybe very soon.
