It’s a mistake for Grijalva to cite Epstein at this point. Epstein is a distraction. Even the shutdown is irrelevant – it doesn’t directly affect Congress, even if it’s caused by Congress. The main issue and the only issue is that the Speaker is taking extreme measures to obstruct the undisputed result of a Congressional election. I can’t imagine anyone in Congress is comfortable about that happening. They’ve all won elections on their own, and won’t like the idea of someone being able to fuck with the outcome.
