I thought it was always on them. Early polls blamed the GOP much more than Democrats.

  2. Seriously even MSNBC with this crap. That headline is BS and all long polling has shown the majority of the blame is falling on Republicans, which it should.

There was and is NO SHIFT. GOP have been playing this game since Obama hard. Now they have nobody else to blame.

Republicans don’t know how to negotiate; there’s no Art of the Deal. They want everything for free.

  4. When Caitlin Collins asked Jim Jordan last night what the Republican plan would be to address the health insurance issue, he had none. And that’s why we are here.

They control the House, the Senate, the Presidency, and SCOTUS.

But, Fox News and other propaganda channels, like CNN, no longer report the news, they push propaganda and the fault of the shutdown being assigned to the Democrats is pure propaganda.

But due to team politics, people abandon friends, family, and common sense to consume and regurgitate the propaganda from their “team”

Are you sure? Are you sure you sure? Are you sure you sure you sure? Are you sure you sure you sure-

Well there are two messages being presented. The republicans want you to believe that illegal aliens will be getting free healthcare. The democrats want you to believe that healthcare will get more expensive.

Given the track record it’s easy to see why the democrats are presenting a more believable scenario.

Most voters have blamed them since the beginning because they care about the healthcare issue. It’s not necessarily a partisan thing.

There are (I) and (D) that have voted Yay or not voted which is a Yay.

There are Republicans who are not voting and who are voting Nay.

They cannot get 100% of their party on board with this budget. This is what they need before it is a Democrat shutdown.

220 GOP and 213 Dems in the House.

53 to 45(47) in the Senate.

    Control of the Executive branch.

The budget needs 218 votes in the house and 51 in the senate, or 60 to overcome a filibuster.

The GOP needs democratic support. And, why are they not getting it? Because the dems want healthcare protections. So, just to be crystal clear about what is happening, the GOP is asking democratic representatives to vote *in favor* of kicking their constituents off of healthcare coverage.

That is the hang up here: vote to take away your constituents healthcare, or the government remains shut down. What sane representative would vote for this? Give me a fucking break. They need 8 dems to vote for this. It’s not going to happen.

  11. Wait…shifting? Why TF would anyone NOT put this on the GOP’s shoulders? Are there really that many fox news and newsmax zombies?? Are there really THAT MANY people who completely lack any critical thinking skills? I guess there are.

  12. Blame is “shifting” to the people who are abso-fucking-lutely to blame?

    I’m horrified.

What’s next? Are they going to insinuate that OJ really did it?

Well duh. Anyone with a pulse and IQ above a rock can see. Unfortunately that means there’s a substantial portion of the US population won’t comprehend that.

  14. The sole purpose of the shutdown was to delay the release of the Epstein files until something could be done about it.

It’s all of congress’ fault. They’re all being paid to do a job they aren’t doing.

But at the end of the day, Republicans own the White House, Senate, House, and Supreme Court. If they still can’t pass legislation / budgets / etc. idk what their problem is.

  16. FrenchBulldozer on

Imagine being pissed at Democrats for fighting to keep healthcare affordable for their constituents.

Really look forward to news being about facts and not about what people think. We’re dumb! Educate us!

  18. KinkyPaddling on

I don’t think Republicans care much, since they don’t plan on vacating any seats that get flipped in 2026, anyway.

  19. These people beg to be elected, then do nothing but complain about their jobs for years. Somebody turn that into a campaign commercial.

  20. Even if it was EVER actually Ds fault (its not), the GOP has forced it so many times only to crumble because they rightfully get blamed for it, that its essentially their brand.

  21. theseustheminotaur on

More people are figuring out that the shutdown is caused by the Republicans, is more accurate

  22. The GOP controls all 3 branches. Anyone with half a brain can see that. It’s on them.

  23. Screw polling REALITY SHOWS… House, Senate, Courts… all owned thoroughly by these clowns. Anything currently happening is solely on them.

  24. There needs to be aggressive messaging everywhere that republicans are lying about the healthcare issue. they could reopen the government if they just fixed the healthcare access issue THEY are causing millions of AMERICANS to face.

they could actually fix the glaring problem and reopen. or they could nuke the filibuster and reopen. or they can keep the gov’t closed until domestic air travel collapses and their donors call PISSED OFF that they can’t travel in their private planes (because everyone in the sky needs ATC, so corporate, ultra-wealthy, and air freight traffic is also halted).

their current strategy is to just lie about “illegals getting healthcare” and hope Americans are dumb enough to buy it. and sadly, many are.
