  1. Bolton was one of the war hawks lusting after war in the Middle East when Bush was president. Bolton served under Trump’s first administration and played along with everything until he was fired, then he turned on his former master and started publishing books, which he’s made a lot of money from. He is without principle or moral compass, and he could’ve take action to stop Trump long ago, but he waited until he could profit from it instead with his books.

That said, it’s still wrong for him to be railroaded without cause by a weaponized DOJ. I wonder if he’s feeling the leopards eating his face thing at all.

  2. >Two people close to the situation, speaking anonymously to the broadcaster, said that a grand jury in Maryland has been hearing evidence for several weeks relating to claims that Bolton kept classified national security information at his home.

May 22 2024 – A judge has questioned how Donald Trump could have overlooked sensitive documents that turned up in his bedroom after the FBI searched the former US president’s Florida home.

The files were found in his private quarters months after federal agents discovered over 100 classified records as they executed a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach in the summer of 2022.

The judge also noted the prosecution’s belief that Mr Trump was “likely instructing his agents to avoid the surveillance cameras” at the golf club.

He denies 40 federal charges of unlawful retention of national defence information.

His co-defendants, aide Walt Nauta and former employee Carlos de Oliveira, have also pleaded not guilty.

The trial is unlikely to begin before November’s US election, in which Mr Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee.

    People celebrating this are disgusting

Bolton is a warmonger but he doesn’t deserve to be politically persecuted just because Trump hates him. This is no time to be giddy

  4. I protested in the streets during the lead-up to the Iraq war, and hate that fucking warmonger.
But this is nothing to celebrate. This is the descent into rule-by-law instead of rule-of-law.

  5. For the face he makes every time he hears Pedo President PoopyPants’ name?

Or just for his face, generally?

Trump is setting up a two-tier legal system, a system in which the laws do not apply to everyone equally – in which his supporters get pardons, while those who oppose him get prosecuted on trumped up charges. A system in which those targeted by Trump are denied access to the legal system that applies to the rest of the country. This is a common ploy of authoritarians – because resistance to these attacks on the rule of law is weaker when these changes do not apply to everyone. It is much easier to pretend ‘this is fine’ when you yourself are not a member of one of the groups being attacked.

If you fail to defend other people’s rights – that is how you lose your own.

  7. Trump is getting his doj to indict anyone who said anything mean about him in an effort to make his own indictments seem as frivolous as these

  8. another vindictive bullshit indictment by trumps stooge DOJ. all to try to distract from the fact he’s a pedophile. release the files donnie.

Bolton is a warmonger being persecuted by a traitor. Both are objectionable, but Bolton isn’t a traitor. Given the US’s coming economic and social collapse, I doubt it will matter much in the long run.

  10. It’s rumored he might have a copy of the unredacted epstein files. Its why they raided his house and indicted him now. If he’s smart, someone else is safely hanging onto that for him.

  11. “They got me for basically nothing!!! Let’s go get * them * for basically nothing!!”

Fuck Trump for making me defend John Bolton, but this is a show trial because he was mean to Trump one time. With friends like these…

He should’ve spoken out when he had the chance but instead he wanted to milk it for a book deal.

He kept dropping little hints about how distinctions Trump’s first admin was but nope – wouldn’t just spill the beans.

    Well, now what, buddy?

  13. Despite Trump DIRECTING the DOJ to prosecute his political enemies, Bolton may actually have done some sh1t.

So Trump may have in fact given Bolton another defense by his stupid tweets. He certainly weakened the DOJ by putting incompetent clowns in charge.

Anyway, I’m going to hold off being too critical of the entire Bolton prosecution until all the facts are known.

  14. This is getting really creepy. This is exactly what Hitler did. Complete Fascist Dictatorship. They’ll start arresting Journalists and You-tube Influencers next. I’m not kidding. That will be the next stage.

  15. I think trump is very sick and they are trying to get as much retribution done before he croaks.

He knows he’s on his last legs(cankles), so he’s fast tracking his pretty revenge tour, to every person who wronged him, including Milton Finkelstein, who called him a poopy head in day care in Queens.

  17. whydoyouonlylie on

God I hope they indict Adam Schiff next because if they do it’ll be the easiest slam dunk of a case to get all of them thrown out for vindictive prosecution since all 4 of them were named in the DM Trump sent to Pam Bondi instructing her to target them.

In a reasonable world if any case is thrown out for vindictive prosecution directed by the president then the president would immediately be impeached for abuse of power. Of course that’ll never happen.

  18. AntiOriginalUsername on

“For keeping classified material at his home” holy shit this is just peak irony at this point.

  19. You know who likes all this: people who were legitimately indicted. “This is a political witch-hunt” becomes an argument to take seriously.
