I moved to MO two years ago. We voted to keep our sick time and were then undermined by our own state government who got rid of it in August. It’s absolute bullshit.

I like the goal of these programs, but why are we, the employees, paying the premiums from our wages? It would have been much more efficient to force companies to provide the benefits themselves, but instead we’re developing huge governmental departments to manage employee leave. It adds a ton of bureaucratic waste for what could have been managed by existing HR departments.
