The video, first obtained by Fox News, is intended to play at security lines, with Noem stating, “It is TSA’s top priority to make sure that you have the most pleasant and efficient airport experience as possible while we keep you safe.”
She also says, “However, Democrats in Congress refuse to fund the federal government, and because of this, many of our operations are impacted, and most of our TSA employees are working without pay.”
In an email to CNN, a spokesperson for the Port of Portland, which operates Portland International Airport, Hillsboro Airport and Troutdale Airport, confirmed a request came from the Transportation Security Administration to display the video message.
“We did not consent to playing the video in its current form, as we believe the Hatch Act clearly prohibits use of public assets for political purposes and messaging,” said Molly Prescott, spokesperson for the Port of Portland.

South Park video is more interesting than her video.

Noem’s propaganda video should be illegal and grounds for dismissal. She’s supposed to serving all the people, not blaming Democrats. Republicans have control over all 3 branches of government. Trump and Vance are the leaders who have no interest, much less a plan to unite the country. This administration needs to impeached.

I’m at MCO (Orlando, Florida) right now waiting for my flight. I didn’t see it. There was a video of her, but it wasn’t prominent, and I think it was an older one about REAL ID.
I made sure to be extra gracious to the TSA folks, given what they’re going through.

I was really happy that Spokane chose to do so, as well 💯🙌

I recommend they play South Park clips of her instead

Sure, they’re “refusing”, but that phrasing suggests they’re doing it for their own personal beliefs. More neutrally, airports are not showing this video because doing so would be a violation of federal (and in some of these jurisdictions, state) laws, no matter what DHS asks.

Absolutely dreading flying through Washington National in two weeks on the expectation of seeing this.

would airports playing Noem’s video really be violating the Hatch Act. I thought that the Act only applied to federal employees. Aren’t the airports privately owned?
Besides, wouldn’t a DOJ run by Pam Bondi be the one’s to do any prosecution.
We will have to wait and see if there are any reports of other airports playing the video, but even if they do, I think they will be safe.

I hated seeing her face when I was in line. they found how to make the security line worse.
