  1. I watched a video of masked thugs pointing guns at a lady for recording them. That seemed a whole lot more threatening than a bunch of naked Portlandians riding bikes. Of course, those masked thugs worked for the federal government.

  2. Keep it up. These protests are making these fascists look absolutely pathetic.

That will continue this weekend at No Kings.

What about a few thousand people storming the Capitol building, Mike? Wasn’t that a little scarier than naked bike riders? These people SMH

Maybe someone could tell him that naked bike rides are [a worldwide event](https://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/wiki/List_of_rides), drawing hundreds of thousands of riders and there’s nothing threatening or sleazy about them. They’re heaps of fun for both participants and spectators, and if they can serve a dual purpose as a protest, that’s even better.

I fear people brave enough to cycle naked and I’m glad they’re on our side.

    Road rash!!

  6. On the one hand, yes this is a ridiculous story on its face. On the other hand, though, it’s also another instance of MAGA telling on themselves that they’re an authoritarian, reactionary movement. Doesn’t matter if it’s naked bike rides, wearing goofy costumes, merely protesting at all, or even just advocating for opposing policies. Disagreeing with MAGA ideology in any way is seen by them as a “threat” because they know their ideology is unpopular, and the only way they can make it the “majority” is through force.

It’s ridiculous, but it also shows how dangerous reactionaries can be once they decide to seize power. *Any* disagreement or opposition is a “threat”, and that’s how they’ll treat it, rather than a difference in political preference.

I saw that ICE shot a woman 5 times and then lied about it and was caught by their own bodycam video. I’d say that was more threatening.

  8. The *sole* value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to [one’s perception of] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) are rightfully idolized and receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are demonized/dehumanized and/or bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources.

To them, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those [they perceive to be] on the bottom [of social hierarchy] to have access to the rights, credibility, and resources reserved for those on top. The first greatest injustice is for those on top to be bound by the restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources reserved for those on the bottom.

Conservatives absolutely need an underclass [for society] to demonize and dehumanize in order to maintain [their] hierarchy, and every single one of their policies and rhetoric work to do exactly that. “Know your place” is their mantra.

  9. Mike Johnson is as afraid of pussy as a Catholic priest.

You don’t get to bring up crime when your leader is a convicted felon.

  10. This is a guy who has such an issue keeping his urges under control he makes sure his porn usage is monitored by his son…so this checks out.

  11. So they’ve been lying about Portland being war-ravaged?

The most threatening they’ve seen is some naked people on bikes?

  12. what you’ve got to remember about Mike Johnson is that he and his son both have devices attached and apps installed on their phones that send an alert to the other whenever they get an erection

    Johnson: they were armed

Me: they were naked, do you mean they had arms?

    Johnson:

Me: Johnson is a synonym for dick

  14. I have two questions:

    1. Why did he choose to see this? It’s not like as if it was on his way to work *that he closed to avoid a vote that would release the Epstein files.*
    2. How is he going to explain this to his son? I never really got how that works, apparently this gives his son credit that he can then use online or something.
    3. Release the Epstein files.

  15. And the dumbest thing so far that Mike Johnson has said is… This mouthful of crap. How does anyone reporting from either end of the spectrum (I mean politics), not laugh at this man for that? I mean, c’mon. Is Sean Hannity so uptight he can’t find how stupid that sounds? Or the window lickers on OAN? How about the paste eaters over at the networks?

Yes yes, I’m just teasing. I don’t really think they eat paste at network news.

    Maybe they lick glue sticks?

They are naked. Literally unarmed. Unless you think they are all karate masters or one has a threatening meat sword, fuck off. God, this makes him look so weak and pathetic.

Naked bike rides are at the very least an anual thing in the PNW. Usually during the summer solstice.
