  1. So what happened to “America First”? Why are Republicans all of a sudden completely okay with Trump giving a foreign country a $20B bailout, just because their President is a Trump sycophant? Trump even straight up admitted that [the U.S. won’t benefit in any way from the $20 billion bailout for Argentina](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/10/14/trump-argentina-milei-bailout/). Why is the GOP suddenly supporting Trump’s decision to give away $20B to a foreign nation?

  2. >“It’s day 13 of the shutdown. What’s Trump doing? Negotiating a budget deal? No. Preventing premiums from doubling? No. Stopping 15 million Americans from losing health care? No,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont), another bill cosponsor. “He’s meeting the Pres. of Argentina to reward him with a $20 billion bailout.”

This is how the Dems can win the shutdown. Tie that $20 billion in foreign aid to rising costs at home.

  3. Hey wait, Agentina got a lot of fleeing nazis at the end of WWII, does this have to do with the bailout? Some sort of money laundering scheme to fund the 4th reich?

  4. Republicans block a bill to NOT give 20 billion of OUR taxpayer money to Argentina. Meanwhile, Republicans will block ANY bill that gives money to the American people. Argentina got a bailout before American farmers. America is cooked.

And why are Democrats so incompetent when it comes to messaging? They’re given layup after layup by the GOP and they still can’t put the ball in the basket.

Edit: It’s now 40 Billion! Wtf!?!?!?

Food banks in my area are struggling badly from funding cuts and fewer and fewer donations due to increased grocery costs, but we can afford to give tens of billions to a failing right wing regime in Argentina, is this what America First looks like?

So… the tariffs are an illegal tax for the Trump admin’s likely unconstitutional slush fund which Johnson is protecting by keeping the House out of session.

    Am I getting that right?

Again your tax dollars are not being used to help you with your health or safety or daily issues. They are used for golf trips and banquet halls and friends/ass kissers and to fund a fat ass ice that is rounding up people they just do not like and getting massive bonuses for it.

  8. Make Argentina Great Again!

Great job electing a felon child rapist, you cousin kissing, pedo defending simpletons!

  9. Under what authority is the executive allowed to hand out that kind of money to foreign nations? I actually have no idea.

In order to understand this move, which is blatantly against everything thing Trump claims to stand for, just look where the money is going.

“Funds at investment firms including BlackRock, Fidelity and Pimco are heavily invested in Argentina, as are investors who worked with Mr. Bessent when he was an investor for George Soros.” Source NYT.

Here’s the reality. A bunch of hedge fund bros and billionaires, get to stabilize their investment. If it works out they will make a lot of money. If it doesn’t work out then the American taxpayer is left with a bunch of worthless Argentine Pesos. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️.

So Donald Trump is laundering taxpayers money through Argentina to simply give to his billionaire friends who give him money in return.

  12. Divert the 20B to medicare/ Obamacare subsidies and end the shutdown.

    This should be the angle.

Not the best timing. Aren’t republicans trying to look weak, like they are holding all fed workers hostage at this point saying there isn’t enough money and then backhands gives 20 B. billion to another country …….

Man I am so glad I was never duped or still trying to dupe myself that this guy is anything other than a sleezeball

Every Democrat needs to be hammering on this non-stop. It’s a political gift!

    No bailout for Argentina!!!
