I kept trying to see the optical illusion but all I could see was a swastika desecrated American flag.

If we accept “optical illusion” or “ruse” as explanations without rigorous scrutiny, we normalize the creep of hateful symbols into mainstream spaces. Whether it was intentional or manipulated from outside, accountability is nonnegotiable.

What’s funny is that my first thought was “so who ordered them as a ‘joke’?” vs who planted these flags.

It appears to be a part of the 2025 plan. Many, myself included, never thought the end would come to fruition — instead of being appalled by Nazism, they seem to be embracing it. I wonder if copies of *Mein Kampf* have been flying off the bookshelves lately. Younger Americans have been buying into the lie that the Holocaust wasn’t as bad as it’s made out to be.
