I think they underestimate Kentucky. This is a state that has a Democrat governor and a Republican senator in Rand Paul that breaks with party lines somewhat regularly. Running a full blown MAGA in KY-4 is begging for it to be flipped. KY-4 covers a lot of affluent suburban areas of Louisville and Cincinnati, which are firmly purple, and would support a centrist Dem over an extreme MAGA Republican.
