And that money is never coming back. Thrown away instead of helping Americans.

Argentina has a long and well-documented history of defaulting on its debts, including to foreign governments and institutions that have provided bailouts. Since its independence, Argentina has defaulted on its external debt nine times, earning it the label of a “serial defaulter”.

The problem with libertarianism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.

  3. Because the Argentina money is a bailout for his billionaire friend. Always a favor, grift or scam

I hope republicans remember this next time they complain about funding Ukraine. God forbid the US defend democracy in Europe and weakens an adversary.

Anyways… enjoy propping up failed economies lead by a guy who cloned his dog three times and refers to them as his economic advisors. At least Argentina got to sell their soy beans to China so they’ll have some cash to pay around with while US farmers go bankrupt.

I’m going to just say it. The jacobin posting this after everything they did to “both sides” the last 15 years of American discourse makes me want to puke all over Briahna Joy Gray’s face.

It was all “purity” and “don’t compromise on an imperfect candidate” every election cycle. Followed by this “surprised Pikachu” bullshit during his administrations.

Gen z is being astroturfed at both ends. Right Wing lies on one side, and this “both sides” apathy on the other. We “Bernie or Busted” ourselves in 2016, but at least in 2024 we saved Gaza. Oh wait…Gaza is about to be paved and there are Nazis in the White House now. But look at you, so pure. At least you didn’t compromise your purity.

And all of this on the word of the “Champaign Socialists” selling you Loot Crate subscriptions during the commercial breaks on their terminally online, advertiser funded pod cast. But go off, tell me more about how we can’t blame voters.

Stop blaming Argentina, it’s free money for Scott Bessent’s former hedge fund colleagues who made a bad bet and want us to subsidize them. Socialized capitalism – heads they win, tails we lose.

  7. We need to claw back every cent these traitors are stealing. Sieze the wealth of all the billionaires that sat front row at trump inauguration for starters

  8. A certain group of people fled to Argentina after WWII. Looks like Trump and his friends are making sure they’ll have the same option.
