Unfortunately, as of right now, all I see is that we’re setting up well for the minor, not major slowdown that is an influence for 2026, but turns the corner in 2027 and beyond, so no effect on the major elections that occur every 4 years.
No AI bust, and I’d bet on things shaping up all peachy for the US right populists until the early 2030’s.

It’ll be all of them very soon. The only growth in the US economy was in the AI space so far this year, meatspace businesses like food, housing, leisure are contracting. Maybe raising prices with tarriffs and firing hundreds of thousands of people from their government jobs was a bad idea. This is what happens when a chosen few billionaires are allowed total control over the economy, you’re at the mercy of their attention span.

The GOP has 10 days before their constituents feel their healthcare prices go up and servicemembers miss a paycheck. If they don’t come to their senses by then it will be extremely hard for them to paint this as a democrat-driven problem.
