I live in a county with 21.7% of the population participating in SNAP in some way. They also voted overwhelmingly (70%) for DJT.
In 2024 providing SNAP was 99.8 billion. We just gave Argentina over 2 months of our SNAP benefits to help billionaire investors from suffering a loss on their investments. SNAP also helps American farmers and rural grocery stores. Why are the Republicans choosing to leave Americans hungry and hurting our farmers and rural small business owners to provide welfare to billionaires?

I live in an apartment complex of disabled and elderly neighbors. It’s not only the children but also the disabled and elderly who rely on SNAP to have a meal. As a disabled individual, I am certain that some of my neighbors are just one meal away from hunger. I don’t have much myself, but I try and help who I can.
I know money is tight for everyone, but check on your elderly neighbors to see if they need anything.
