What is leftist ideology? Murder is bad? Humans deserve rights? We shouldn’t rape little kids? The constitution is good?

So, red states will become even more dead / brain drain like healthcare in Idaho. Gotta keep the dumbs extra dumb! Also, if any of you had any remaining doubt about our authoritarian state, this is exactly what Hitler did.

  3. Abbott is a piece of shit on the wrong side of history like most conservatives. I don’t know how this is legal either.

  4. Supercharged brain drain from Texas? Surely there is no way that would backfire on them…

I can’t wait for his state to stop enforcing the Americans With Disabilities Act. Let him deal with stairs and regular parking spaces. Asshole.

  6. Ah yes… the ‘free speech’ that Reddit conservatives have been saying they believe in.

McCarthyism seems so tame by 2025 standards.

If America were really what it claimed to be, these professors could say “yes I am a leftist communist Marxist who hates America and sexually identifies as an attack helicopter and worships Satan and there’s absolutely jack shit you can do about it.”

  8. As long as they face zero consequences and have no fear they’ll continue their march towards totalitarianism. Stop letting them.

They’re targeting anyone not following their political ideology. So let’s return the favor. A lot of these assholes, especially at the state level, are anonymous enough to not have to worry about protestors or angry civilians. They can walk down the street without a care. That needs to change.

We need active resistance and more importantly, disruption. One day protests have almost no impact on a group of people who do not care about anyone but themselves. No amount of public opinion or even suffering will ever sway them. They happily ignore it and go on with their sociopathic day.

We need to start doing things they can’t ignore. People this selfish act very quickly once their own lives are impacted. So let’s impact them. They’ll never do the right thing, but we might be able to force them into at least not doing the horrible things they currently are.

  9. Where did all of the conservatives pushing for “academic freedom” and “freedom of thought” go??? Oh wait…

  10. Republicans doing everything they accuse everyone else of doing with.

I remember when people felt shame and hypocrisy was frowned upon. Better times

  11. That is a blatant violation of the Professors First Amendment rights… but these fascist theocrats, don’t give a damn!

At Last They Came (for the Radical Centrist)

First they came for the immigrants,
I said, “Well, maybe they shouldn’t have been causing trouble,” —. I thought following the rules was the same as doing what’s right.

Then they came for the trans people,
    I said, “It’s such a complicated issue,” —
I didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.

Then they came for the gay people,
I said, “I just wish everyone would stop talking about it,” —
    I thought silence was civility.

Then they came for the anti-fascists,
I said, “Those people are too extreme,” —
I didn’t realize that opposing them meant I was siding with fascists.

Then they came for the protesters,
I said, “Well, they shouldn’t have blocked traffic,” —
I believed order mattered more than justice.

Then they came for the media,
I said, “They’re always lying anyway,” —. I thought questioning everything was the same as thinking for myself.

Then they came for the scientists and universities,
I said, “Experts have their own agendas,” —
    I confused research with ideology.

Then they came for the Democrats,
I said, “Honestly, both parties are corrupt,” —
    I thought indifference was wisdom.

Then they came for the judges and lawyers,
I said, “They’ve been political for years,” —
I believed the system would still hold.

Then they came for my neighbors who spoke up,
I said, “Who can even tell what’s true anymore?” —
    doubt felt safer than conviction.

Then, when I heard what they planned next,
    I hesitated —
was this the plan all along?
Had every step been leading here?
    I told myself it couldn’t be….

At last they came for me,
and it was too late to resist —
there was no one left who still thought both sides had a point.

Shouldn’t they target professors pushing *any* ideology, for the sake of fairness and all.

    lol

  14. So, someone trying to educate people with facts and critical thinking skills. Got it. Edited because I need more coffee.

Ah, Texas… The land of “freedom.” The cognitive dissonance there is mind blowing.

Does he mean moral centrist ideology?
We don’t have any real leftists. The right is just so far that centrists seems left.

Nothing says “freedom” like the government policing what teachers are allowed to think. Real small-government vibes.
