  1. And let’s hope that they also know that part of the Dem platform will be about not merely undoing what they’ve done, but clawing back what they have taken. The fear, of course, is whether the process of rebuilding will be pre-empted by corporate control.

The Epstein files will probably be released or leaked when it’s clear that Trump has outlived his usefulness – whether it’s due to the damage he’s done and the public is starting to actually turn on him en masse or whether it’s due to his failing health.

That’ll buy people like Vought a few more months of the media and the public being distracted for them to blitzkrieg as much of Project 2025 as they can in hopes of pushing us past some point of no return.

  3. The entire party is failing fast. A totally expected result when you let a fraudster run the country.

Why do I always feel like the underlying message of these articles is: no need to do anything, this will implode at some point.

    What a dangerous mindset.

  5. We’re living through the GOP’s extinction burst. Anybody who has ever seen a roach go crazy after being sprayed with Raid knows what I’m talking about. The GOP is in its sprayed roach phase.

  6. Where are those Epstein files? Congress should get back to work! Swear in the rep from Arizona! Do you jobs look out for the country trump isn’t he is ill. We all can see it.

  7.  “the courts are checking him”

No, the LOWER courts are checking him, the SCOTUS is all in.

It doesn’t matter. There won’t be any more elections. Elections can’t happen when the federal government refuses. Yes, of course the GOP will end democracy. They have already dismantled most of the oversight and are dismantling the structure. Why does anyone think the GOP is going to allow Americans to vote them out?

  9. This may all be well and true. One problem. He is an authoritarian now. We are essentially in a police state. And it doesn’t matter what people think.

  10. This article reads like wishful thinking, framing the administrations inability to do MORE damage FASTER as some kind of win.

“Project 2025 has achieved fewer than half of its objectives” HALF IS A FUCKING LOT. HALF HAS BEEN MORE THAN ENOUGH TO CAUSE IRREPARABLE HARM.

“DOGE fever has long since broken” yeah because the damage is already done.

“Of the 470 legal challenges to the Trump administration, a significant number have been filed against DOGE and OM” what are those challenges amounting to? The courts keep ruling in Trumps favor. Those who rule against are ignored. No goons or administration members are being arrested.

Im not usually one for focusing on the negative, we need to keep everything up and hopefully there will be results, but this article is just… is “navel-gazing” appropriate here?

  11. Curtis Yavin has thrown in the towel? I’m curious to know how this article can claim that. Especially with Peter Thiel and Palantir still in the background. I’m doubtful at best

  12. Stop with the fucking paywalls. You have something all important to say, let people read it.

“failing” is an interesting choice of words.

He seems to be getting everything he wants. Half the white house is torn down, he’s attacking people in international waters trying to instigate an international conflict. He handed out $40 billion to Argentina, which I imagine much of it will be sent back to one of his private offshore accounts. Elon has stolen all our information. Palantir (still insane he named a company after the evil characters in LOTR) is getting a $1.4 billion PER MONTH contract with our tax dollars to Big Brother the nation and identify dissenters (I promise you, that all our reddit accounts have been collected and they’re likely working to figure out who is behind them if they haven’t already – I assume Spez would fork over our email addresses without hesitation to get in with the tech bros).

The Supreme Court kneels to his admin’s whims. Violence against elected officials on the left is rapidly increasing.

I’m failing to see where they’re failing beyond the obvious stuff, like running a country effectively.

Once the stock market crashes hes done. Its not a reflection on the economy but it’s all he cares about. That bubble will pop during his term.

  15. In the 2028 election cycle, all you will here from Vance and other Republicans suppirting this idiocy is “Look, I dont want to talk about Donald Trump. He’s not on the ballot.”

  16. It was obvious that it would collapse like it did in the first term. The real issue is if damage which MAGA has done -and will do for the next years- to the US democracy can be really healed at this point.

  17. If you consider 50+ years of failure is “Fast” then ok.

We have 10 years of MAGA to review and 39% of Americans still approve of this joker. That is “Slow”.

  18. solitudeisdiss on

He’s only failing Americans. To the oligarchs he’s in fact doing better than anyone expected. That’s the point.

  19. “Rabid Maga bigwigs” don’t give a FLYING FUCK

He could pass away in the night, and they wouldn’t say a thing. We won’t even know. The executive orders would still get signed. “The president is too busy making america great and doesn’t have time to waste with the fake news”

He’s a prop, he always was, and he will be forever. I hope we are all ready for Saint Trump, because holy shit once he’s dead, get ready. A hero like America has never seen, every road, every coin, fuck they might just change the whole flag to one of him bending over lady liberty

If you think they are going to ever certify an election they lose, or ever hand any kind of power back, you are not paying attention.

They are not governing like they are running out of time.

They are governing like they have all the time in the world.

Great, so how can we help escalate this failing to be even faster. Where is the ludicrous speed switch

  22. They’ve been saying this for years now. It’s like the MedBeds of Democratic myths. Or those guard rails that were supposed to hold.

  23. He’s been “dying” and “failing” for 8 years or more. If you read just the headlines, he’s just one step away from life support. But, like cockroaches, he continues to live and destroy things, whether it’s a national monument our the fabric of society.

  24. AnyEstablishment1663 on

I keep seeing articles saying things like this, but I’d rather see articles about something being fucking done about it

  25. There are only two kinds of political news headlines and post titles on Reddit: doom maxxing and cope maxxing
