How did U.S. ‘energy dominance’ turn into rising domestic natural gas prices? Record amounts of US natural gas are now being sent abroad in the form of LNG. And much more export capacity is planned. That’s all gas that cannot be delivered to American users.

You seem to be confusing “Dominance” with, “Oil companies think that consumers should pay less for energy and negatively impact profits”.
This is a positive. This is capitalism. This brings good money back to US landowners. The real voters and citizens.
Australia has been in this position for years: we’ve locked in trade deals with Asia that are so good that [Japan](https://www.reddit.com/r/trueoffmychest/about/rules) is on-selling our gas.
There is a silver lining, as it will spur consumers to find alternative forms of energy, such as cheap solar, which do not impact the climate.
