It won’t. And they’ll send it to the Supreme Court for further delays. And then the court will rule in favor of this grifting regime.

Ah, yes. A judge. Look, I know you’re trying to do good, but the Trump administration has already shown that they believe your rulings are irrelevant. Besides, they have the Supreme Court on their side.

“Yeah, about that…..”
— SCOTUS, a couple of days from now.
Remember, Trump’s new tactic isn’t even to appeal. It’s a mix of malicious compliance, blatant sarcasm, and feigned incompetence. “We’d love to comply. We’re just waiting on instructions from the courts on exactly how to do that”, knowing full well that it’s not the court’s job to tell him how to do his job, nor would they even know the specific processes needed to give this kind of instruction.
And there’s a reason for that. Because it will delay the case longer than an appeal would. If they appeal, there’s a high chance the appeal is going to be expedited. But if they don’t appeal, the onus becomes shifted to the states to complain about non-compliance. Which then opens the door to the argument that Trump needs to be given “reasonable time” to comply with the orders. And I’m sure you can see all the ways that *that* is going to be exploited. And then there have to be hearings about whether or not Trump “is making a good faith effort to comply”. Which means more hearings, with each “question” requiring a separate hearing, and each answer potentially opening the door to more questions and avenues to more appeals.
And since the courts are deferring to Trump while the case makes its way through the system, that means Trump has all the time in the world while his opponents have no time to spare. And the more time everything is gummed up, the harder it is to undo the damage, which raises more questions……
See where this is going? And we haven’t even gotten to the actual appeal yet. Trump has just found a way to add about 46 all new layers of delay tactics and ignoring court orders to the mix.

And consequences of not following the orders? The judicial system has been turned into a joke, thanks to the Supreme Court.

Calling it now, Trump is going to claim that he “didn’t have to fund SNAP, but (he) did anyway. And no one is even saying ‘thank you.’”
Trump will take credit for a court order that he tried to oppose then outright ignore.

Hakeem Jeffries needs another reality check. Pleading to meet with Republicans is the wrong political strategy and the wrong practical tactic.
Such pleas suggest inaccurately that Democrats play a role is the benefit cuts. The entire fiasco needs to go on Republicans. As we can see by the polls, the split is far closer than it should be. Tell the people that these benefit cuts happened because there is a Republican government. Then tell them that Republicans can break the filibuster and restore benefits whenever they want.
And let’s just say Republicans meet with Democrats and all they get is the return of benefits that should have been provided. Who will be satisfied with that?

Why didn’t the judge just force congress has to approve SNAP. Would be a much smarter ruling 🤡

This shit is just exhausting at this point. What’s the use in ordering him to pay “within days” after he already ignored the order to not cease payment? This country is a fucking joke.
