I for one am shocked that the people paying for this stupid building are in any way benefiting from federal contracts. It’s almost unbelievable that there’s at least one element of grift here (the contractors being given no bid contracts for federal government work). I would be equally unsurprised to learn that Trump himself is receiving the bulk of the monies from this endeavour rather than the supposed project of building an eyesore.
At the end of Trump’s term there will be a crater where the east wing used to be.
