  1. The Democrats are asking for 40 billion to fund health care for 1/10th of all American citizens, most of which live in red voting areas. That’s all they’re holding out for to end the shutdown.

This administration just shadow dropped almost a new trillion dollars in billionaire tax breaks.

Just to be clear: One trillion is one thousand billion.

  2. Trump hasn’t made another billion dollars this month.
Will someone please think of the oligarchs.

In other words, it doesn’t affect Trump’s donors. If poor Americans are suffering, it’s God’s will, and the good Christian Trump won’t disagree.

The harm to the Trump administration is not having the “thrill” of starving poor children.

Watch the entire GOP demonize the poor and characterize them as lazy. Watch them blame undocumented immigrants for taking too many food stamps, even while they blame them for taking our well-paying jobs. Watch the forwardly Christian Republicans in particular as they praise Jesus out of one side of their mouths while contradicting his teachings about feeding the poor with the other.

It ain’t just President Dementia who’s behind this. It’s the entire vocal arm of the right wing, turning casual hatred into a new form of self righteousness.

That’s very different from what he called it at the start, an “unprecedented opportunity”.

They are lying. All they do is lie, cheat and steal from the American people to channel money to billionaires and oligarchs.

  8. If he can send $40 billion to Argentina, he has money to put towards SNAP.
If what he says is true about what’s coming in from tariffs, he has money to put towards SNAP.
If he can afford to tear down the East Wing and build a massive, $300+ million ballroom that is not needed, he has money to put towards SNAP.
If he can afford to go on continuous golf trips, he had money to put towards SNAP.

Trump doesn’t care about anyone but himself and his rich or ideologically-similar friends.

What is Worse than starvation? The death penalty? Life in prison? Torture? Wonder why they would imply they’re facing such things.

If Trump asked the billionaires to direct their ballroom donations to SNAP, they might do it to please Trump. Just a thought.

If it weren’t so terrifying,  this would be hilarious . “We’re the real victims!”

  12. The people are not being represented. That includes all who care about their communities, those on snap and those not on snap. This is bad for everyone. This is bad for the children, for the families, the old, disabled, single, middle class, hospitals, police, everyone. This is unacceptable promoting instability hunger sickness crime in our neighborhoods.

  13. And what might that “more harm” be?

Maybe the starving people will riot or inusurrect?

And then, golly, the Nat’l Guard would have to be deployed?

    ….just speculating.

Nazi scum. Release the Epstein Files! Child rapists belong in The Big House not The White House.

Contrary to MAGA propaganda and talking points, a vast percentage of SNAP recipients work, are disabled, elderly, or children

SNAP fraud is extremely rare, it’s one of the most efficient government programs

Every dollar from SNAP generates between $1.50-$1.80 for the economy. This supports local businesses and increases jobs figures

SNAP is a safety net, not a handout.

Most beneficiaries of SNAP use it temporarily.

Food assistance is also an investment in stability. It actually reduces future dependency—especially for children.

Instead of scapegoating the poor and disadvantaged, Republicans could, you know, address the root problems.

Blaming the poor, underserved and marginalized ignores systemic issues. Poverty isn’t a moral failing, it’s an economic trap

Instead of being distracted by the right’s culture wars, Trump voters should be blaming the billionaires, corporations, and kleptocrats in power who create and profit off economic inequality.

They should be directing their attention towards the Republican policies that have been the driving forces behind worsening socioeconomic inequalities, poverty and wealth redistribution for decades

Or the massive bailouts, safety nets, subsidies, tax breaks, incentives and “handouts” for corporations, foreign governments and the rich

Stop scapegoating the poor, the sick, immigrants, minorities, and vulnerable groups, which no doubt is reinforced by a vast right-wing propaganda network and the many culture war grievances perpetuated by conservative mouthpieces and talking heads across social media.

    Wake the f-ck up conservatives.

Republicans rely heavily on grievance politics and culture wars to distract you from all the pickpocketing they’re doing; insisting that the blame for your problems rests solely on fellow Americans who suffer from financial hardship brought about by their own policies.

Your deceivers are delighted that all of your focus is turned away from them and towards the cultural boogeyman you’ve been conditioned to fear and blame.

Socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor is their secret motto, and all you’re doing is playing the part of their mascot.

Republicans don’t want to fund food assistance and have been capitalizing off of this government shutdown by pushing anti-SNAP propaganda; persuading their voters that the entire program is a waste of funds and should be ended permanently.

And they’ve succeeded at riling up their base by leading a massive campaign on platforms like Twitter where conservative “influencers,” caricatures and spokespeople for the regime are blaming the poor and the disadvantaged, immigrants and minorities, “lazy” handout seekers, etc…

Per usual, they’ve been scapegoating the underprivileged and marginalized instead of addressing the root causes of economic inequality and poverty, instead of holding accountable the billionaires and kleptocrats in government who are literally taking from the poor to give to the rich.

The Trump administration is lining the pockets of a small number of political and wealthy elites while the rest of Americans suffer under the economic tyranny of Republicans.

Republicans have consolidated power throughout every branch of government. They are trying desperately to control the narrative and blame their political opponents; choosing to focus most of their energy on politicizing this outcome rather than resolving it.

And while Trump spends his time golfing, throwing lavish parties and taking a wrecking ball to the White House in order to build an invasive, hideously decorated, and expensive ~~ballroom~~ vanity project in his honor, his attorneys are simultaneously fighting relentlessly in court against funding SNAP.

Trump is showing Americans how disengaged he is and where his priorities lie as he throws these tone deaf, parties, golfs on the taxpayer dime, and forges ahead with building his “ballroom” while millions of Americans lose access to aid and the shutdown persists

The billionaires pitch in a couple pennies for a ballroom. Can’t they throw in a couple nickels for the American people? Billionaires are sadistic lunatics.
