Through January 30, just in time for the government to shutdown right at the start of tax season.

There needs to be a fucking statutory budget bill so this can never happen. Fucking absurd.

This is why republicans keep winning and how we all know Democrats are controlled opposition.

  3. Again (again), does this not include long term extension of the ACA credits? Wasn’t that the whole point?

  4. GOP: We got spanked in recent elections this spells bad for us in the midterms.

Democrats: alright we will open the government for you and we will accept the bill without getting what we wanted. Just promise to vote next month on this issue!

Lol, lmao even. No wonder the Democrat party mascot is a jackass.

So they caved completely? Oh they better not have.

If they did Trump will take everything nuclear every time from now on.

  6. Schumer can’t control his own party. He’s useless as a Minority Leader. There’s sea sponges with better political instincts than Chuck Schumer.

  7. Trump correctly called their bluff. He knows they’re just going to fold and give him what he wants every shutdown so we’re actually more likely to have them in the future.

Democrats suck. Congrats for sinking any momentum you have built. No wonder the GOP controls everything g

  9. “Senate has enough Democratic votes to abolish ACA credits after 40-day shutdown” is a more accurate title. They do not vote to reopen the government ffs, they vote to gut health insurance.

  10. Are you kidding me? We let this shutdown last 40 days, and for WHAT? A deal for the healthcare subsidies isn’t going to get done; they lack the necessary votes. The American public will see the Democrats cause a shutdown, let it go on for a record-breaking period of time, and in return give the people nothing! I don’t know why the hell they would even think about this. Their cowardice is going to leave many people suffering due to their lack of healthcare subsidies, and politically will let the GOP control the narrative.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

I just remembered 9 years AGO TODAY.. 11/09/2016

Trump was elected for the 1st time. THIS has been our life since.

    >He said it became increasingly clear that Republicans were not going to agree to a deal to reopen the government and extend enhanced health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act that are due to expire in January.

Angus King is too stupid to be a Republican or a Democrat. JFC Maine, can you not fuck up literally ever?

  13. koi-lotus-water-pond on

My copy/paste function is not working, but it was led by Angus King (I) Maine. He says there is still a “chance” for the ACA subsidies. He said that a group of them thought it had gone on too long and too many people were getting hurt. WTF does he think is going to happen when the R’s don’t give him the ACA vote later?????????????

YOU WON ON TUESDAY BC OF THE SHUTDOWN AND BC TRUMP IS SCARY AND YOU JUST THREW IT AWAY.

  14. What’s the point of just voting for it afterward anyway, even if they get the vote as said?

Trump will just veto it even if by some miracle it passed

  15. Instead of saying that they should grow a new spine it’s more accurate to say they should just replace the body and get new ones with functional spines to begin with

  16. wow….just wow…what an absolutely pathetic country you guys have…one side fascists, the other absolute fuckin cowards. your fuckin doomed.

  17. Hey Democrats! It’s time once again for the “Try Not to Blow All Your Recent Hard-Won Political Capital in Less than a Week” challenge! How do we think they’ll do this ti- and it’s gone.

    Dammit.

  18. astrozombie2012 on

Goddamn it… fucking little bitches caving and making this whole thing a waste of fucking time, money, blood, sweat and tears. Prepared to be voted out you little fucking bitches.

  19. Here are the traitors who voted to mortgage your future. I’ll add more as they are known.

    Tim Kaine – VA
    Jeanne Shaheen – NH
    Catherine Cortez Masto – NV
    Angus King – ME
    Maggie Hassan – NH

If you live in one of these states, make your opinions known. Primary these fools and make sure you let everyone know why they are unfit to lead.
