Yeah, we all know. Schumer only cares about what his fictitious Trump supporting friends think instead of the people in his own party

Any Democratic senator that isn’t screaming for Schumer’s head and forcing a vote to kick him out as minority leader is complicit.
The headline claims he got thrown under the bus… The senator said said he knew about it and objected to it… Which by my recollection contradicts nothing that isn’t already publicly known.
That doesn’t seem like the conspiratorial shit they’re trying to make it out to be.
Give a call to your senators to ask for Schumer to be removed as minority leader. It takes about 30 seconds to do, and holds more credence than a email.
When I called I made sure to tell them that I was a registered voter, member of their party, and frequent donor. Chuck Schumer had proved a ineffectual leader who could not even corral his whip for a vote of this magnitude.

Yes, and? Either he knew and helped orchestrate it, he knew but was powerless to prevent it, or he was unaware of what several members of his caucus were up to. None of those possibilities make him look like someone who should be the Minority Leader.
During the last week, I have repeatedly said Schumer was caving to the Republicans. Each and every time I was bashed by people on r/politics.
I am vindicated!! Schumer did know and agreed to the caving. He spoke against and voted against the motion to cover his ass!!
Shaheen doesn’t say it, but this may have been Schumer’s plan from the beginning. I believe it was.
He is an ass. He is a weak leader and needs to be voted out as minority leader. And then, primaried out of politics!!

I 100% believe that Schumer not only knew but gave the greenlight and secretly wanted this. Mostly because of Dick Durbin. I just don’t see him defying Schummer. He is not running again ands his seat is a pretty safe for democrats. I think Schumer thought this was the best time to get out but wanted it to seem like the democratic party was folding, just some rogue senators. So he told a few of the older, likely to retire or primaried senatos to vote for it, allwhile seemingly keeping his hands clean.

The Senate minority leader was fully briefed on all negotiations.
I mean, we all knew it was brewing it was literally reported on before the elections that King was working on a deal with a group of defecting Democrats. And Fetterman and Masto had been voting with the GOP on reopening. It would be worse if he had no idea and was blindsided.
He’s ineffective as leader, did not inspire confidence in the party’s strategy, or that it even had one, and failed to prevent 7 senators from defecting. He needs to step down as Senate Minority Leader.

I was always a little skeptical of the “Villain of the week” narrative, if just because it’s easier to assume stupidity rather than malice for a given action. But now? There can be no doubt that the Democrats that are voting with Republicans here *are* just the selected few that can vote for this without getting too much heat, and that Schumer knew about it and encouraged it.
This is despite Schumer putting out a video of him “strongly” opposing this vote and how it doesn’t fix the healthcare issue, so he’s still voting no. This is the kind of thing that people loathe about politics.
This entire scenario is more evidence that democrats are captured opposition. Every day they look more like Alan Colmes and less like Jon Stewart.
Schumer absolutely consented to the cave and who would do it: those whose next elections are furthest out. It was by design.
