He needs to be replaced. His time has passed. Not meeting the moment indeed. Let’s get some younger Dem leaders in there.

  2. Brett Farve could even have not fumbled this one and then Chucklefuck Schumer comes along with a “watch this”

Schumer and other establishment Democrats seem to think that this any other Republican establishment in some year like 1998 and that all the old unspoken rules still apply.

This is 2025. MAGA wants to break the system for total unending control. The wealth disparity in this country is absolutely insane. And regular people have to wonder if their kids are going to be able to get jobs and buy houses someday while in the meantime we have to worry about religious zealots and private interests sabotaging k-12 public education and attacks on free speech, research, and diversity at colleges and universities.

    Where’s the hope?

  4. I think opening the government was the correct move.

The shutdown convinced America that Republicans oppose access to healthcare. Polling shows that.

It resulted in Blue wave of election wins. Exactly what we need.

  5. The constitution and the people of this country used to be the 2 things these elected officials had to answer to. Now they answer to donors and only donors.

Like everything, Democracy has been destroyed by capitalism

  6. I’ve called Schumer’s office demanding that he resign as Minority Leader, if you’re one of his constituents I advise you to do the same.

Chuck and his herd of dinosaurs should have retired years ago. I’m sure they mean well, inspired by civic pride (read: power, prestige, and access to information that allows them to enrich themselves financially). Had the democrats embraced the issue of economic inequality instead of relentlessly going after social issues, the state of our politics wouldn’t be of the sort where people lose food stamps while the White House hosts a Gatsby party.

He needs to be replaced, however the dems have to be galvanized and stop this unnecessary tantrum, this is giving Trump and his Maga boot lickers an opportunity to skirt their blame for the shutdown in the first place.

The message should be, “the democrats tried a few sold out and Trump succeeded in taking away healthcare, but the resistance continues “

Not whining about Chuck Schumer, he will be kicked out rest assured, his incompetence is undeniable

If the Democrats don’t vote Schumer out of leadership then it’s safe to assume that they approve of the job he is doing. I won’t be voting for another Democrat until there is wholesale change in Dem leadership.

  10. We need leadership who has a future in jeopardy.

These rich guys are just never going to get what’s going on

  11. He’s not doing his job. He’s making decisions contrary to the vast majority of the party he proports to lead.

  12. He has not met the moment for quite awhile. And NOW y’all are noticing? I CAN’T with the democrats anymore. So slow. So stupid. Completely spineless.I hate both parties. How can I stay in this either Party any longer?

  13. Replace him. What is he going to do to you?? Nothing. He chickens out when the entire world is watching, his internal threats mean nothing.

    Replace him. Today.

  14. He has not been meeting the moment this entire presidency. He’s now folded to Republicans twice on a shut down, this one being the more egregious seeing as the majority of the country blames the shut down on Republicans and the Democrats should be riding the momentum of their recent election victories. Instead Schumer is incapable of keeping his centrist caucus members from giving away the store when they had the Republicans by the balls. He’s a weak leader, he’s out of touch and he’s incapable of understanding the seriousness of this moment, much less meeting it appropriately. If you give in to the Republican’s right now, your political career is dead, that needs to be the message rammed home to EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT. You hold the line or you’ll never be elected to anything ever again.
