I really hope so, but I’m not holding my breath. Them being willing to swear her in means they have figured out their next step.

  2. Uninspired_Hat on

No they’re not. They still need to swear in the rep from Arizona, and Mike Johnson may just continue to not swear her in.

But pretending for a moment that she is sworn in, they still need to have a discharge petition vote. That’s where everyone votes yes or no on releasing the Epstein files.

And if you think Republicans still have an ounce of shame and dignity left in their souls to vote yes, you’re sorely mistaken. They’re called the Guardians of Pedophilia for a good reason.

But, pretending further for a moment, let’s assume the discharge petition was successful and the GOP is now legally required to release the Epstein files. They can just break the law, refuse to do it, and that’s that. There’s no enforcement mechanism to make it happen.

  3. BS headline. Even if the discharge petition goes forward, that just forces a vote on a bill to release the files. Meaning the House has to pass it, then the Senate, then signed by Trump.

No they won’t. There’s no way they would have sworn in that Democrat if they didn’t have a plan.

Are they? Because I feel like the Guardians of Pedophiles (GOP) and convicted fraudster felon and rapist Pedosident wanna be King Trump the first realllllllllly don’t want us to read those files.

We have a government of pervert criminals.

Are they? I feel like Nancy mace is practicing her victim face over and over tonight to gear up to pull her support and blame a trans person in the process.

    No they arent

There is no chance that happens. Mike “my son monitors my porn habits” Johnson is not going to swear in Grijalva unless he has assurances that another republican is waffling.

There’s close to a 900000000% chance these files never see the light of day. There will be stalking, blocks, motions, etc. I have zero faith that even if every single politician votes for the releasethat it will be done. Or if so it’ll be just all redacted and edited and things left out for “national security concerns”.

Can we please do something about these Daily Beast articles?? It’s a dozen a day with these “He’s finally gonna get it!” type articles.

It’s fuckin spam at this point.

  10. No they won’t. Either Johnson will come up with some bullshit to freeze the clock or Republicans will call it a distraction and vote against it. And if you think they’ll be held accountable for either, I have a bridge to sell you.

No, they aren’t. I hope I’m wrong but too much is riding on this. Too many powerful people would be exposed.

  12. theres a house seat in Tennessee being decided in December. I read somewhere one plan might be waiting for then and if the GOP candidate wins (in TN) then they get back majority vote share on the Epstein thing

  13. I’ll believe it when I see them—and UNREDACTED.
I have zero faith, in both Republicans and Democrats at this point. The former refuses to have any accountability, and it’s beyond shameless. The latter are (mostly) just of milquetoast, legacy stooges helmed by a spineless, doormat of a cuck. It’s just going to be one bullshit after another.

  14. They’ll swear her in but Johnson will probably make some excuse to postpone a floor vote until the results of Tennessee’s special election (December 2) to fill a vacant House seat are in.

Good! Burn everyone and anyone who abused the victims to the ground. I’ll be sad if someone I respected is among the abusers, but that’s a no-go for me.
