  1. *It is hard to say if these MAGA morons really think this is some sort of grand gesture or if they just spew out robotic praise like good little sycophants. I kind of think it’s both.*

“If getting rid of tariffs to lower prices is ‘Winning!’, does that mean implementing the tariffs that [raised prices](https://x.com/TalosDreams/status/1989824262631534709) was ‘Losing,’” one commentator wrote on X

“Some Trump boosters were overjoyed. “The Trump Administration has signed an Executive Order that eliminates tariffs on Steaks,” Ian Jaeger, a self-described political commentator with 340,000 followers wrote on X. “[This is HUGE](https://x.com/IanJaeger29/status/1989475001137832047).”

“In response, Gunther Eagleman, a MAGA commentator with 1.4 million followers jumped on the bandwagon, writing, “[Winning](https://x.com/GuntherEagleman/status/1989787097629069343)!”

*”FOX News* announced the administration’s reversal with the headline: “[WALLET RELIEF](https://x.com/FoxNews/status/1989500446961201323).”

“When asked about his decision Friday, Trump conceded that tariffs may “in some cases” raise prices. However, he maintained that by-and-large, the U.S. has “virtually no inflation.”

“His shift away from his maximalist tariff policy comes as a case is currently before the [Supreme Court](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-supreme-court-congress-washington-joe-biden-b2859037.html) challenging the legality of the president’s decision to unilaterally impose sweeping tariffs.”

  2. This is a typical pattern with Trump.

    – Start a problem

    – Let problem become significant

    – Put out the fire he started and act like a hero

This is just him doing the same old shit.

  3. The one for Argentinian beef and the other because you can’t grow coffee in the US, anyway.

    Idiot.

  4. Lol businesses are not going to lower prices guarantee that, they’ll just blame it on inflation since people have proven they’ll pay for greedflation. We saw this with covid prices which have stuck around and get worst.

  5. What MAGA doesn’t realize is grocery stores are more than food. They are aluminum cans, cardboard containers, bakery ingredients, plastic bottles, transportation costs, employee wages. Reducing the costs of steak, bananas isn’t enough.

  6. Damage is done.

Once prices go up, they don’t go down because people have gotten used to paying it.

    Step 1: Announce ruinous policy

Step 2: Buy stocks of affected industries that just plunged.

    Step 3: Repeal stupid policy.

Step 4: Sell stocks that just bounced up at a profit!

  8. “For the moment he had shut his ears to the remoter noises and was listening to the stuff that streamed out of the telescreen. It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

So if coffee prices can be lowered by dropping tariffs, doesn’t this prove who pays them?! Are people really this naive…..
