No, he’s not going to be the president. Either he’ll be slinking out of politics in disgrace, or he’ll have installed himself as our eternal dictator.

It’s a simple truth in Washington. Once the 22nd Amendment guarantees the President is a “lame duck, they lose their biggest weapon the power to endorse or destroy a Republican’s career in the next primary election. When that fear is gone, Congress is free to vote their conscience or respond to voters’ worries (like the cost of living or the Epstein files) without worrying about getting an angry social media post from the White House. This is just the political system starting to look ahead to what comes next.

2030? But the next presidential election is Nov 2028… why are they talking about two years past that?

He’s not even eligible to run in 2028. Why are we even discussing this?

Lame duck status is an interesting way of saying constitutionally barred from holding the office again.

You know what I find hilarious? This administration never once uttered the word “affordability” until after Mamdani’s historic win.

He’s a filthy, disgusting, perverted, child rapist. That many conservative Americans have literally worshipped. They’ll find another. Scum never changes

The way this party and its associated cult are acting, they definitely believe they will hold power in 2030 and well-beyond. You don’t do what they have done with the expectation you will ever be held accountable. Sure, Trump may drop dead at some point, but they only care about power (and $).

Because his health is fading so fast he probably won’t make it past 2026. I’m still hoping for him to give us all the best gift for Christmas and just finally go.

  9. You would think faking an assassination attempt and causing the death of an innocent American would have been enough to bring him down but I guess not!

  10. Trump’s first year has been a disaster for mostly himself and the people. The groups who have prospered the most are the corporate elite as we usher in the first trillionaires.

Democrats will feel the effects of having the Government shutdown hang over their necks well into the mid term and they’re stumbling to find unification in voice and identity.

Really, what’s taking place here is a corporate take over of the US government where representation of American citizens is being stripped away. Both political parties are going to be beholden to whoever supports them and you’ll see party ideology become generic and candidates starting to flip flop more, which we’re seeing more of with examples of Fetterman and MTG.

Trump may very well be the last populist choice we ever have as a president.

My prediction is that the 2026 Mid term election turnout is going to be the lowest it will ever be and 2028s presidential election will be a historic low as well, with neither Democratic or Republican candidate really being any different.

He will be lucky to survive 2026 with his current health issues. We don’t need to worry about 2030. We need to worry about the people who follow.

  13. Jeebus, we’ve only barely survived 10 months of this nut job. I don’t think we’ll be a country by 2030

  14. This is the cycle, Republican runs, cuts taxes on wealthy, removes regulations, screws up the economy or starts a war.

    Democrats win

Democrat runs again, people forget about last time a Republican was in office, blames Democrat for long-term problems caused my Republican president.

Republican president wins, rinse and repeat

  15. He’s already completely ineligible to be president in 2030, unless they are now completely tossing the constitution to the side.
