Every Republican who has been enabling Trump will forever be remembered for protecting these vile people. May they forever live in shame.
I’m not terribly confident the epstein files will contain anything that implicates Trump. They’ve been in the hands of the Trump admin for months and they will be released by the Trump admin.
If you’ve been paying attention to how Trump operates, he’s unfathomably corrupt. The idea that he will just allow documents to be released that implicate him is a fantasy imo.
Every data dump of these files has contained gems that were undiscovered by previous vetters. There are countless journalists and conspiracy types who have mapped every tiny detail.
What both amazes and disgusts me is that no matter how many of them vote to release the files they’re doing it because they don’t want to be “seen” as a protector of pedophiles rather than actual “being” a decent human being and giving victims the justice they deserve. Fear of how you will look in the future to you constituents shouldn’t be the motivating factor… it should be “of course this is the right thing to do”

I have a feeling trump reversed course cuz he plans on scapegoating thune by saying thune is the one holding it up even though trump will say he wants the senate to vote on it.

Kind of amazing most Republicans in congress need it spelled out for them why protecting a pedophile is bad, but if pure political calculus is all they understand, at least someone is laying it out for them.
It should be remembered that, even if these Republicans vote to release the files today, they could have voted for this at any point in the past seven weeks while Johnson was delaying Grijalva’s swearing in. It would have taken just one more Republican to put this process into motion months ago, but they chose to delay.
The Senate has been very quiet about how they’re going to vote. Maybe I’m being optimistic, but I’m thinking it might mean they are keeping their intentions quiet so Trump doesn’t hear about them. I guess it could also mean they don’t want their constituents knowing they are going to vote to kill this bill.
As a woman, I’m just imagining my mother being a Republican congresswoman and protecting abusive men that raped children.
I am supposing these are the same sort of mothers who wouldn’t believe their children if they reported abuse. Especially if the abuser is a boyfriend.
Please release the scrubbed and redacted fake files and keep the clown show rolling. Believe the victims now and start filing charges.

I think there’s something very important lost in all this noise – Epstein, Maxwell, Trump, Clinton, Summers, Andrew…. whatever. The main thing to realize is that these were actual young women who were nothing more than objects to these “powerful” and connected men,
THAT is what many of them think of women. Even today. Voting them into office just enables them and confirms that vile thinking.

My partner comes from a very Catholic family, who majorly distanced from the church after their disgust regarding pedophilia in the church. That same family has always glorified Trump, and with their current newfound silence on recent events, I imagine they are probably shocked they’ve been bamboozled by pedophilia yet again. I read what Trump said about Rep Massie and his new marriage. I don’t like the man but it was laughable reading Trump’s comment. I see it as a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Since anyone that can see has seen pictures of Melania with Jeffrey Epstein. To put it plainly, #47 got Epstein sloppy seconds!
Since last year, I cannot get over people voting for Trump for a second. I clearly remember seeing on CNN and ABC Arab Americans complaining about VP Harris no doing enough about the Palestinian issue. I would like to hear their comments now, did their vote help the Palestinians?
Is the same for all those Hispanics specially the Cubanitos and the Venezuelans, they saw themselves above the rest of the brown people because their shade of skin is white. I think they need to get a DNA test to clarify what is what! That’s one thing I was delighted to see, when many of their own family members deported! Also, someone should donate and buy Nick Fuentes a DNA test because just like many Hispanics, his father is half Mexican and a large number of them have Jewish ancestors.
Lastly, all those poor Americans that blamed President Biden for all their troubles, they got what they deserved.
