A clear majority of voters would choose to elect a Democrat candidate to Congress if the midterms were held today, a new poll has shown.

The PBS News/NPR/Marist survey, conducted between November 10 and 13, revealed that 55 percent of voters would elect a Democratic candidate, compared to 41 percent who would opt for a Republican.

The 14-point lead for the Democrats is party’s largest since November 2017. In 2018, during Trump’s first term, the Democrats won more than 40 seats in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

  2. If the GOP had any self awareness they would understand the Trump brand is doing what it always does.

    Crash and burn.

And if they keep clinging to him they’ll go with him.

  3. The only potus that lost the House, Senate and potus in 4 years is going to do it again to tue his own record.

  4. Primary the corporate dems and vote in as many progressives as we can. Thats the only way anything gets done. The reach across the aisle dems need to go.

  5. Polls don’t mean anything if people “forget” to vote. Kamala was leading in the polls too, 10 million prior voters chose not to vote. Whether it was apathy or voting shenanigans or hopeless 3rd party candidates splitting the vote, the results were not questioned and the polls were proven wrong. Remember to vote.

This was always going to happen. Morons voted for Trump in November because Trump promised cheaper everything (funny that Republicans accuse Mondami of this).

He completely fucks up the economy and folks vote D in response. When the Dems don’t completely turn around the economy in 2-4 years they will say that they were forced to vote for the Tucker/MTG ticket because X is out of control.

Then those two will completely fuck up the economy and rinse repeat.

  7. Wait until the propaganda machine & X algorithm shifts in an election year. Also Dems do shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly.

  8. Don’t worry, Democrats will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

    Vote progressive! ✌🏼

Gee, it only took concentration camps, military occupation of US cities, blatant in your face bribery, and strong evidence of ties to documented pedophiles….

  10. Good thing we still have 3 more years of this clown no one likes.

Millions of people voted for Trump to “own the libs” and ended up realizing they owned themselves. I’m looking at you farmers and Latinos for Trump.

  11. And all it took was the wholesale destruction of every institutional advancement we’ve made over the last 250 years

They will figure out a way to squander it. Horrible leadership from the Dems. Get more younger people in leadership

  13. And it won’t matter anyway because people will forget by the time the next elections roll around and also the idiots will choose more centrist Democrat politicians because for some bizarre reason the people in this country seem to think that the center is where the country should go….even though that’s the status quo that everyone hates

    Polling?

    Lol

The midterms are a year away.

During that time they will find a way to screw that up.

It’ll be a coin toss by then, if they aren’t behind, that is

  15. I love what a mindfuck this is for Republicans- who interpreted the record low democratic approval rate as a mandate for themselves when in actuality the low approval rate is a mandate for any democrat who wants to fight Republicans tooth and nail.

Democratic and progressive voters will fix that real quick while simultaneously putting forward none of the candidates they actually want in office for election.

  17. Well, I hope it matters and we actually see results from that one day. I won’t hold my breath.

  18. Sounds like good news, but is actually depressing. We shouldn’t just be opening up the biggest lead over Republicans in 8 years, it should be the biggest lead in the history of either party.

  19. Inb4 Dems use this info in backroom strategy meetings to punch left and consolidate power for liberals in the party

  20. So, basically, since the last time Trump was in office? I really wish the US electorate had a memory longer than a goldfish.
