U.S. President Donald Trump demanded the arrest of several Democratic lawmakers over a video in which they appealed directly to serving military and intelligence personnel.

“It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL,” the Republican president said in a Thursday morning post on his Truth Social platform.

“Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand – We won’t have a Country anymore!!! An example MUST BE SET.”

If “Refusing illegal orders” is seditious behavior….

  3. IllustriousNorth338 on

Telling people go refuse illegal orders isn’t seditious, but giving illegal orders probably is. This monstrous decaying pedophile is very nervous about the Epstein Files coming out.

  4. Ancient_Popcorn on

Trump better demand the arrest of every military member then. I received briefings on the right and duty to refuse illegal orders on a regular basis during my time in the Army.

  5. Democrats “don’t do something illegal”
    Trump “THAT’S ILLEGAL”

    Piggy is losing it

  6. It’s not seditious behaviour, it’s good legal advice.

Hey guys, be careful, don’t do something that will get you in court.

  7. It’s so nice to open all these headlines and see the comment section hates that prick as much as I do

  8. This is a direct response to him watching Stephen Miller on Faux News. The US president gets his worldview from Faux News.

  9. In the old days, him saying this openly would be enough to get him impeached. Watergate involved the Nixon Administration spying on the opposition but he never openly ordered the Justice Department to dig up dirt on only the opposition and for that opposition to be thrown in jail without due process.

I guess pedo piggy is upset about the epstein stuff and feels strong armed. Oink oink. Quiet, piggy

  11. Stephen Miller has his ear atm. This is exactly what Miller said earlier.

He needs to be asked if he expects the army to get illegal orders. The military pledges to the constitution. They are being told to honor their word. If everyone follows US law, there’s no issue.

Only criminals plan to break the law.

  12. If Biden was still POTUS and demanded to have Republicans arrested I’d be LIVID.

It isn’t sedition to remind military members they have an oath to the Constitution and to disobey ILLEGAL orders.

Why can’t MAGA understand how this destroys our country?

  13. It can’t be Seditious to tell the Armed Forces not to follow illegal orders, the Uniform Code of Military Justice says they cannot follow illegal orders.

  14. A serious, respectable President would have nothing to fear because they wouldn’t be issuing illegal orders. Why is saying “don’t follow illegal orders” sedition? God we are a fucking joke with this guy in charge.

  15. Velvet_Samurai on

This is in their oaths, how is telling them to honor their oaths sedition? Gimme a break…

  16. Easy-Examination-435 on

Trump is wrong. Military personnel are not supposed to obey illegal orders, and these members of Congress were just reminding them of this bedrock policy.

  17. Trump is a discount store fascist who can’t be gone soon enough. He will say scary things to appease his culture war allies and nothing will happen.

  18. >Trump’s accusation of sedition is the latest volley in a years-long exchange between his Republicans and the Democrats, each side accusing the other of violating the constitution and undermining democracy in pursuit of their own partisan and ideological interests.

Both sides. Good job, Newsweek. Asswipes

We demand that djt be arrested immediately for seditious behaviors, starting with instigating J6 and everything that’s happened after

  20. I sure wish independents ever paid attention to this shit, shrugging their shoulders. But when Biden tried to forgive student debt, yeah, that was the real issue…

  21. SashaBanks2020 on

This is so hard for me as someone who was in the marines.

There was a circumstance where our Staff Sargent ordered us to do something illegal, we refused, and our Master Sargent 100% had our back and tore the Staff Sargent apart.

The idea that the Commander in chief wouldn’t just say “they’re absolutely right that you must refuse illegal orders. It’s vital that you do so. If you have concerns, please bring it to the attention of your chain of command. The democrats are wrong about these circumstances, but they’re right in spirit.”

It’s such an easy slam dunk for anyone who isn’t a fascist piece of shit.

  22. Wow, my co-worker called it yesterday. We were watching that interview with Jason Crow on Fox and my co-worker said he’d better be careful or Trump would go after him for exactly this, because that’s who Trump is.

  23. How many service members refused the COVID 19 shot? How many talking heads applauded them for it? Look, in 1991s US Army if you refused an order to include getting a vaccination it was hasta la vista baby.
