  1. *Asking the police for protection from the president. And they are correct to be afraid when someone with so much power has completely lost control of himself. From the president. From the president. WTF.*

“House Democratic leadership said Thursday they’ve been in touch with the U.S. Capitol Police and the House sergeant-at-arms to protect a group of lawmakers after [President Trump](https://www.axios.com/politics-policy/donald-trump) appeared to suggest that their comments were “punishable by DEATH!””

“Trump [considerably ramped up](https://www.axios.com/2025/11/20/trump-democrats-sedition-death-penalty) the severity of his rhetoric against Democrats on Thursday after a group of military veterans serving in Congress released a video encouraging service members to resist unlawful orders.”

“We unequivocally condemn Donald Trump’s disgusting and dangerous death threats,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) and Democratic caucus chair Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) said in a joint statement.”

“We have been in contact with the House Sergeant at Arms and the United States Capitol Police to ensure the safety of these Members and their families,” they added.”

“The three leaders called on Trump to “immediately delete these unhinged social media posts and recant his violent rhetoric before he gets someone killed” and for Republicans to “forcefully” condemn his comments.”

  2. Too bad the FBI doesn’t have any resources right now, since their busy protecting the directors girlfriend.

  3. Yes, completely normal and a function of a good government to have the President call for your death. Republicans will brush this off as if nothing is wrong.

  4. The President of the United States just called for political enemies to be put to death for their speech.

Read it out loud if that helps you digest it.

Weird how that happens when the president calls for violence against his political opponents

Guys, guys, was told a few months ago that Democrats really need to tone down the violent rhetoric.

  7. They shouldn’t be called to protect. They should be called to pull trump out of office immediately!

In fact…the military he thinks is his personal police should go in there and take him out of office if they are truly following the constitution. HE wants them to go against their oath.

They should obey it and pull him out.

Is our government really so pitiful that this is just going to end up another ‘wacky Donny Trump’ story?

Right to the chambers and impeach him that’s the only logical and necessary next step for a functioning Congress if they ever want to have any credibility going forward.

There’s no denying he said it. There’s no taking it out of context. There’s no spin you can put on it. No president in modern history has ever spoken like that, but plenty of dictators have.

  9. As usual, Trump will: get away with it; democrats will be the bad guy; ain’t nothing going to happen to him.

  10. Add it to the impeachable offenses pile. It’s that mountain of paper work in the warehouse next door…

  11. Throw it on the “impeach and convict” pile, which is getting real high with all these emoluments violations, and the whole perv thing.

Gotta keep calling him out on these. Something is going on get him out of office and into a lockdown Alzheimer’s/dementia facility. His time is coming fast if he doesn’t expire before that.

They should be taking precautions for their safety. He has the power to motivate people to commit violence.

if any of us publicly posted anything remotely similar on social media, we’d be in prison by the end of the day meanwhile the sitting president gets a slap on the wrist

Stop putting quotation marks like it’s an OPINION. HE LEGIT WANTS TO KILL HIS POLITICAL ENEMY THIS ISNT THE TIME TO ASSUME WHAT HE MEANT YOU SHIT HEADS

  16. Time to invoke the 25th constitution!

Donnie is melting down and invoking violence to law abiding Americans because of the exposed corruption and loss of power with GOP congressmen.

  17. 18 U.S.C. § 115(a)(1)(B) makes it a crime to
“threaten to assault, kidnap, or murder” a United States official with the intent to impede, intimidate, interfere with, or retaliate against them for their official duties.

  18. I’m just so tired. We are at a completely different stage of this now where our country is paralyzed to get rid of who will go down as the worst president in the history of the United States.

He’s lawless, violent and completely mentally deranged. How the fuck this didn’t immediately trigger an impeachment is beyond reason. Trump should’ve been impeached and a trial should’ve been set before Christmas. By 2026 we should be swearing in his shitbag of a Vice President with the strongest possible guardrails imaginable.

Yet here we are, having to issue statements and just… go on with our day.

  19. If you’re calling the police for protection from the president, you’re fucked no matter what office you hold. It’s been too late for a while, this is just the nail in the coffin.

GOP: The Dems really need to tone down the rhetoric; they’ve always been out for violence.

DEMs: The President of the United States just called for us to be put to death.

GOP: Yeah but you guys probably deserve it, so…

  21. >The White House did not immediately respond to Axios’ request for comment on Trump’s posts.

Nah, they wouldn’t. They only save their responses for social media.
