What exactly is bizarre about conservatives openly admitting that they’d like to kill us? They’ve been saying that for decades, at least since 9/11.
That’s part of the reason I was so amused at all the “nobody deserves to die over their political opinion” stuff that the right and the centrists were spewing when Charlie Kirk got killed. It was obvious that they meant “no conservative deserves to die over their political opinion”. They spent most of 2002-2004 advocating for the imprisonment, torture, and/or death of anyone who didn’t support Bush.
Shit, my own relatives said I should be tortured at Guantanamo Bay and executed for treason because I didn’t support the Iraq war.
These can’t be the same conservatives who were lecturing us on our rhetoric just a couple months ago.
