  1. Glad that the GOP’s plan to paint Mamdani as the face of the Democratic Party blew up in their face.

Trump praised Mamdani so much today 💀

  2. It’s about Respect, in the flawed way someone like Trump views it, in the toxic masculine way. That is massive in the minds of a guy like Trump. In dudes like him, Respect is a massive thing. In men, most specifically. Mamdani is a man he can respect because he’s a man who is strong and has principle and conviction. He respects men like that. We’ve seen him have some good relationships with other Dems (he and Newsom have their back and forths but have a decent personal relationship)….it’s the ones he respects that he does.

  3. This is exactly what I was hoping for, Mamdani charmed the hell out of him. TBH that’s the best route he can go for the people of NYC.

  4. Oh dear everyone check on your local MAGA immediately … or when you feel like getting around to it, anyway.

He’s trying to seem civil and gracious after all the dumbass, horrific shit he’s done this week. He’s trying to “moderate” because he knows he’s cooked.

people are going to be shocked but imo this was super predictable. Trump respects winners, Mamdani is one. Mamdani is hyper focused on affordability, which Trump is currently getting killed on. Mamdani gets to elevate his national profile and talk directly to the other side instead of leaving their judgment to Fox News. The losers here are centrist dems, who continue to look like shit for refusing to endorse and spinning up all the antisemitism garbage that *not even Donald Trump* buys.

You gotta realize that every single thing trump does or says and every single relationship he has is 100% purely transactional. NOTHING else matters.

  8. I was thinking that Mamdani would charm the pants off Trump and maybe point out difference between Democratic Socialism and the antiquated Marxist Socialism and explain that all he is going to try to do is to make life better for the citizens of New York City. MNYGA! Of course Trump will change his mind again in 15 minutes.

  9. What a load of passive-aggressive nonsense. Trump does this all the time. Stir the pot with the base with some red meat one liners and sloganeering, then meet with a leader and then claim he forged some kind of personal relationship with them, expects to be able to work with them, and found middle ground for agreement. It’s the Art of the Deal 101 – “escalate to negotiate.” This is Trump’s modus operandi in every single thing he does.

  10. So literally the only reason for Trumps comments lately has been to interfere in the election…. Man needs to be in prison. Period.

It’s just hilarious to me that, after quite possibly the most hyperbolic smear campaign I’ve ever seen, dude is just respectful and deferential for like an hour and it’s all completely forgotten. Guess he alleviated Trump’s concerns that he was, *checks notes*, a “psychotic Muslim terrorist who wants to destroy New York, starve everyone to death, and turn it’s children into suicide bombers”. Now, he’s just like, “Great guy. Super nice!”. This country is completely ridiculous.

  12. I at first read this as Trump saying he could live in New York WITH Mamdami. Like wow, just met and he already wants to move in with him.

  13. Happy that both sides could be civil at the meeting.  Hopefully this trickles down to the magas.  We need more civility and sanity.

He will like him until he does one thing to upset Trump and the he will be scum again

I think one of the craziest things about seeing Trump inexplicably (sort of inexplicable, not really) failing into the head of one of the biggest cults in American history is that he *could* use that power for good if he wanted. He could simultaneously make the country a better place while also developing the love and adoration that he so clearly wants and needs. He *could* be one of the most powerful and strongest men in history.

Instead, he’s just hateful despite never having to have had a real concern a day in his life. It’s fascinating.

  16. Trump: *There’s no way I’ll agree on anything with this Muslim commie*

Mamdani: Mr. President, I know we have our differences but I just want to say that Ivanka is a smoking hot piece of ass

    Trump: *Well I’ll be damned*

  17. >“I think he is going to surprise some conservative people, actually,” said Trump. Asked if he’d be comfortable living in the city under the incoming mayor, the president said: “I really would, especially after the meeting.”

As always, the most important person in Trumpworld is Trump. But the second most important is whoever was talking to Trump last.

Mamdani will be back to being a communist radical left lunatic right after Stephen Miller gets his turn being the Trump whisperer.

Fortunately, so long as Trump has as much real estate in NYC with his name on it as he does, Mamdani’s always going to have some real leverage.

  18. Under Mamdani, under guard, in prison

Edit: if anyone asks “for what” ask Jack Smith and look at the charges in both the documents case and the attempted election interference/Jan 6th case.

  19. Hope Mamdani is not doing a Fetterman. I’m tired of leftist politicians flipping to the right on gaining office.

  20. Im a nurse. I understand how to deal with demented, proud, white oldsters. Mandani must have consulted some geriatricians and LTC nurses about Trump. Basically, a lot of “yessirs!” Ignoring baseline assumed racism and sexism. And laughing at their awful, off color jokes like it’s the height of comedic genius.

Trump wants to be accepted back in NYC so bad and so does Ivanka. They hate it in FL.

Don’t ask me how I know, I just think it’s obvious

  22. DisciplineBoth2567 on

I think it’s really may be an example to show how important it is to actually meet and talk to people from different walks of life and build relationships and get to know one another.  Like being able to actually see one another as actual fellow humans.

  23. You think Trump’s dementia has escalated to the point where he has forgotten he’s a republican now?

This is a perfect example of what happens when propaganda takes things into ridiculous levels that are so completely out of reality. It crashes badly when reality is encountered.
