So, they just cancelled the event to announce they’re kicking millions of off health insurance. They’re still doing it, but Republicans were worried about “””optics”””

  2. It seems the only thing stronger than Republicans’ midterm jitters is their burning hatred for the American working class.

    > He [Thomas Massie] mocked reports of the White House framework’s details on Monday, writing on X: “Oh boy, more 4D chess? A vote to extend Obamacare… that’s the Republican solution to health care?”

Damn he’s at least halfway to self-awareness

  4. >Just minutes before President Donald Trump was set to unveil a plan to avert a massive hike for Obamacare health plans on Monday afternoon the event was suddenly pulled – reportedly because of widespread Republican unease on the Hill.

    >On CNN, anchor Jessica Dean was forced to interrupt herself as she asked a question of a health expert to announce some breaking news as it came into her ear – that the event had been abruptly postponed.

    >Federal subsidies passed under the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act are set to expire at the end of the calendar year, and many Americans are already receiving notice that the monthly cost of their health care plans could jump by hundreds or even thousands of dollars for larger plans.

  5. “Indomitable leader Trump gets shushed by other scared men; complies”.

It’s like they’re having a coward-off. How does anyone like these fucking people?

GOP has come to terms with the notion that millions of their constituents will go without healthcare so that their rich fat cat donors can keep the bloody taxes. God bless America.

This is why I have problems seeing him as a Russian spy.

He can’t even collude with his own party.

  8. > “The arrogance of this White House team is off putting to members who are run roughshod and threatened. They don’t even allow little wins like announcing small grants or even responding from agencies. Not even the high profile, the regular rank and file random members are more upset than ever.

Aww, if only you were an independent branch of government with your own agency instead of a pussy.

  9. I knew it when I first heard the delay. Please GOP, keep eating your own and dump sniveling Mike Johnson out on his ass

  10. Trump is now the only thing that can save the Republicans from themselves. Quite the change from 2016.

  11. Imagine Trump rolling single payer and saving his party, the lives of millions and cementing his legacy. But he won’t because he and the GOP want those donations. Scumbags, the whole lot, blue and red. Except Bernie.

  12. If they were really keen on “fixing healthcare for all Americans”, they should do it.

    Then, retract the subsidies.

A working class that is healthy and emboldened is likely to overthrow their oppressors. Keep the middle class off balance so they can’t organize.

  14. Wait until uproar of angry non-partisan voters needing healthcare in 2026. These GOP congressmen will lose in their next reelections.

  15. Imaginary_Builder_56 on

It appears that Republicans as a whole want the American public poor, without healthcare and enslaved to corporations for employment as well as goods and services.

The midterms are America’s chance to prevent that from being our reality today and  our children’s lives for ever.

  16. Every employee in congress’s health insurance is fixin to go way up including members of congress.

If the people who depend on SNAP, Medicaid, ACA, etc. voted then politics in this country would look very different.

    But they don’t.

    And Republicans know that.

  18. Do these idiots do this shit on ourpose or are they just incapable of governing with grace? The GOP – cruel, merciless pieces of shit. Republicans: shame on you! The assholes do not have even a concept of a plan. We are so fucked as a country.

  19. He needs to just demand universal healthcare and throw both parties into chaos while pumping his approval numbers

  20. I don’t understand the American health care system, and at this point I am too afraid to ask. /andypnr.gif
