It’s not fun when the King is just a dick who doesn’t give out prizes to the people stroking his schlong. Like that’s a key part of the schlong stroking game. And Trump doesn’t share toys, he never has… really makes the schlong stroking kind of seem all for nought.

    >The Republican representative from California and former House speaker said on Tuesday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s upcoming retirement should shock GOP leaders into action. Speaking to Fox News‘ Jesse Watters, McCarthy called the Georgia congresswoman’s announcement a “canary in the coal mine” and warned that further Republican defections were imminent if party leaders didn’t work to promote unity.

    >“She’s almost like the canary in the coal mine,” McCarthy said. “This is something inside Congress, they’d better wake up, because they are going to get a lot of people retiring, and they’ve got to focus.”

    >Even before the surprise announcement from one of the party’s most-visible politicians, Republicans were staring down some terrifying math. While the party currently controls the lower chamber, 22 Republican representatives have already shared they won’t contest their seats in 2026. Polling data at the moment points toward a brutal midterm election for Republicans as voters react to the broadly unpopular actions of President Donald Trump in his second term.

I think it’d be pretty fucking pathetic. Like, stand up and fight to restore some legitimacy to your party. Tell the truth for fucking once and expose the rot. Be part of the solution, don’t just run and hide and let the next bootlicker take your place.

I don’t think so. Not to be rude but she’s a woman in a party not exactly known for their general love of women in leadership positions. She’s turned against them–so they’ll turn against her. Easy.

  5. I live in deep red country. After becoming jaded with Christianity these people have put everything they have into their faith in Trump. If they lose Trump, they’ll lose themselves.

    They’re not going anywhere.

If McCarthy wasn’t such a coward, we probably wouldn’t have had a second Trump term. Him and McConnell.

  7. Some may indeed leave, there is 2 working weeks left this year. Assuming the ACA credits aren’t passed, there will likely be another shutdown at the end of January. They may just say, I am too rich to deal with this fallout of my own making.

  8. Doubt it they have stuck with him through the horrible job on the pandemic, Sexual assault, Attempted insurrection, Insane amounts of corruption, Hiding top secret documents from the FBI. They are ride and die and have proven that over and over.

Marge will be replaced by someone worse. Yes, that is possible. Others who leave are probably in gerrymandered districts as well, so their departure won’t change much.

Her departure makes sense. She made a lot of money day trading during the crazy tariff month. She got in on the grift and can retire. Hike is on the people who endorsed her and opened the door for her.

I have no qualms about that. It’s about time these people understand the platform of the party they falsely think represents them and their best interest.

oh, goodie the people that are destroying want to stop and go home. No Justice or Accountability again!

The pugs are destroying our democracy while the dems move papers from one side of the desk to the other with fake investigations, impeachments (they know they have no support for), and no justice. Which is worse, both are destroying our democracy while both party members make money. Yes, even Bernie and AOC.

  12. He may be correct, but also: at least 40 have indicated that they are not running for re-election come mid-terms and some may resign earlier than that.

I would not put a lot of stock in Kevin McCarthy, especially when at least 40 current members have already beaten him to the punch on this announcement.

There won’t be a GOP exodus.

    MAGA will just fade out.

Remember the whole team party thing? No one else does either.

  14. And go where?

Pretending to figure it out ten years after the fact is meaningless performative bullshit, we all knew what he was.

Plenty of money to go around for brainless, rage-baiting “pundits”. I’m sure they’ll do well.

McCarthy was terrible at counting votes. Let’s assume he’s wrong like usual and not get too excited.

  17. Designer_Buy_1650 on

He’s just trying to get back into the game. This isn’t going to happen. The fact this is a headline is preposterous.

  18. What makes no sense to me is that green went along with everything trump did and even days before her resignation after Trump attacked her she said she was still a supporter. This makes no sense.

Why are all the republicans in support of Trump? Can’t they see he doesn’t know what he is doing and that he is doing a lot of damage to our country and the world?
