  1. A federal appeals court on Monday found Alina Habba, President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, is serving unlawfully as US attorney for New Jersey, dealing a legal blow to the Trump administration that could have far-reaching consequences on other appointments across the country.

    A panel of three appellate judges with 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court’s finding that the administration violated the law when it used of a series of maneuvers to install Habba in the position after failing to win Senate support.

    “Under the Government’s delegation theory, Habba may avoid the gauntlet of presidential appointment and Senate confirmation and serve as the de facto U.S. Attorney indefinitely,” the unanimous three judge panel wrote. “This view is so broad that it bypasses the constitutional (appointment and Senate confirmation) process entirely.”

    Sadly, the judiciary is holding the line by upholding the law, but the corruption is already at the top. All they can do is keep pointing it out.

    No doubt there will be a retrospective Executive Order or act of Congress or Truth Social posting (which seem to have the force of law in the US these days) to change the rules for her, and the Scotus will approve whatever they’re asked for.

  4. God bless the lawyers. The ethical judges might be the people who get us through this era.
    I sincerely hope the lawyers who sold their ethics to MAGA all get the disbarments they deserve.

    It’s scary cuz they 100% believed that her illegal appointment or whatever to her position would be waved away

    Turns out appointing attorneys according to their willingness to put out is not a winning strategy… 🤷‍♂️

    So what now? She will be removed? Or everyone agrees it’s illegal and nothing else happens?
