Business as usual. Grift. He doesn’t care, MAGA. When will you realize you are in an abusive relationship? That only favors one person? There is no coalition.

  2. No code requirements you say?  The construction crew better get his fat, piggy signature on a liability waiver.

It’s almost as if he understands (at some level) that the next POTUS is going to demolish it straight away.

  4. Imagine it crashing down at the grand opening on him and all his cronies. That would be a real tragic loss.

Does anybody remember at the Sochi Russia olympics where they just hung up a vinyl printed picture of a beautiful house over the rotted out houses along the highway to the venues? We should do that here at the White House. It’s all rotted out.

  6. The top official charged with carrying out the laws of our land, doesn’t care about laws. How is this going to work, MAGA? You get to ignore them but everyone else must obey?

Doing a cheap ass and shit job, then he’ll complain about it and stiff the contractor.

  8. ok, so sue the construction companies. tie it up in courts. waste their time. it’s not like *they* have presidential immunity.

Federal projects are weird because permits basically pay for state inspectors to look for code violations. But feds don’t pay states for inspections. However, work on historic buildings, especially federal buildings, is strictly regulated by SHPO State historic preservation office. There is no legal way to bypass SHPO.
The ballroom project is entirely a crime in progress.

Remember when he used illegal immigrants from Poland to remove the asbestos in his building in NYC? He didn’t even give them personal protection equipment (PPE). Now he didn’t even bother to remove the asbestos

  11. Well, it at least gives the next POTUS an excuse to tear it down and build something less gaudy. “Sorry, it wasn’t permitted and wasn’t built to code, we have no choice but to tear it down.”

  12. Perfect. That’ll make it really easy legally to tear down when a Democrat comes into office..

Of course he did !!! There are no bi laws or permits in his world, or anything that can get in his way…. Funny how corrupt this all is

And then when they want to get paid he will say…

“Sorry, your work is awful and terrible, and you ignored permitting, zoning, and code requirements, so I just can’t pay you for this terrible, horrible work, and everybody knows it.”

  15. Everyone working on that ballroom needs to drop their tools and leave right now. When people die, it’ll be their heads when it collapses

  16. Did you or someone you love work on the demolition of the East Wing? You may have been exposed to asbestos which is known to cause Mesothelioma.

Are there even blueprints for the ballroom? All I’ve seen are the AI renderings that show misaligned windows and a staircase that goes nowhere. I guess it will be a fitting tribute to Trump being gaudy, poorly planned, and with shoddy construction.

  18. Over 100 Trump donors died in the ballroom fire. The fire was caused due too much electrical current for the wiring it was rated for. Which in turn caused the fire to rapidly get out of control due to highly flammable construction material that was used during building. There were no fire alarms or sprinklers in the building because of cosmetic reasons.

  19. Ignore building code requirements? That’s just…odd. The whole thing could collapse when completed and loaded with his party people.
