  1. Seriously, how the fuck did this murder get through a chain of command that is supposed to catch this shit and stop it from happening? Somebody should have stopped it. Even if it was just a guy responsible for firing.

  2. Liable by who? Santa Claus? Can we stop fucking pretending like there’s any accountability for these people? Trump and his ilk have proven time and time again that laws don’t apply to them.

It’s so exhausting seeing dumbass headlines like this over and over.

I’m guess they should have paid more attention to what Mark Kelly et al said only a few days prior 🙄

  5. I’m sure Laura Loomer is at her Pentagon desk typing up the accountability docs as we speak!

Regardless, the buck stops with Trump and then Hegseth. Both of these men have publicly claimed they are kill happy whether it’s warranted or not. This is not legal in any sense of the word. Two men holding objects to keep them afloat are not a threat to anyone. It makes me wonder how much money the second strike cost for the death of these two people.

This is just another show for us that they can do whatever they want and nobody is left that will hold them accountable. Remember to signal chats or literally EVERY FUCKING THING ELSE?!

None of this is a surprise. He stated in his books that he thinks of the advice of JAGs on the law of armed conflict as a hindrance. He thought removing the JAGs would eliminate obstacles, allowing him to untie the hands of the warfighter. His machismo doesn’t allow him to see the bigger strategic picture.

Could be. Probably won’t, at least this administration. Hegseth and Admiral Bradley will likely get pardoned if they even face charges… regardless of whether the SEAL team members that actually implemented the orders face (well deserved) court-martials and murder charges. Hegseth actually called Bradley a hero for this obscene war crime…

So the military is fine with Trump and his admin then? If they’re all going to get punished (rightfully so) for this, won’t that just make them say “Well fuck it”

  12. Laws don’t mean anything if nobody is willing to enforce them. Biden let all the Trump ne’erdowells off. Obama let all the Bush people off. The next admin is going to do the same and it’s going to be a race to the bottom.

Nobody is going to be held accountable, apart from the general that theyve decided to be the scapegoat.

  14. If you think anyone is going to get prosecuted over this you haven’t been watching the US wage war. This is nothing new and frankly I’m shocked people are all of a sudden pearl clutching.

Is that his “I might buy you a drink, but only after you meet me in the bathroom” look?

  16. COULD be held accountable, but absolutely WONT.

This is why there was a reminder that you are not required to follow illegal orders. This should never have happened and everyone in the line of this event is guilty.

Finally, accountability might just be catching up with the top brass. Can’t sweep this under the rug with a photo-op and a handshake.

Those directly involved in the strike could be charged with murder under the UCMJ or federal law,” said Todd Huntley, a former Staff Judge Advocate who served as a legal adviser on Joint Special Operations task forces conducting drone strikes in Afghanistan and elsewhere,

They could be. How much you wanna bet they will be? Just remember, there are no more checks and balances.

Curious why attacking private international citizens with a military force is not frowned upon? But attacking them twice is?

  21. When this finally hits the fan, we have to do better than My Lai. Everyone, from SecDef down to the enlisted grunt who pushed the button, need to rot in Leavenworth for the better part of their remaining existence.
