Democratic states should have all been preparing to equally gerrymander their maps using the same method as Texas. So long as one party continues to follow imaginary rules and precedent, there is no “rigging” through gerrymandering, just a whole lot of giving up. I’m not going to put more effort into caring about the state of politics than our politicians do. Gerrymandering has become a consistent, legal tool for Republicans to win. At this point, not using the tool just means Democrats do not care to win.
