Well, on a side note, Haley Stevens is the centrist-of-choice for the Democratic Party in running for the open Senate seat (Peters) from Michigan, trying to hold off challenges from a progressive (El-Sayed) and a progressive trying to tack to the center (McMorrow) in a very close race. That they put her forward on this seems to be as much about giving her a campaign issue as it is about removing RFK, Jr. If not more.

RFK JR sued Joe Biden (and lost) because he was mad he could no longer spread anti vax lies on Facebook and wanted to blame Joe for it. Jr is a loser.

  3. I don’t know. I

f we impeach him but fail to remove him, it might cost us in the midterms. We have to then run on the premise of “give us another chance,” and that’s not “sexy” to voters — especially progressive voters.

I really think the best strategy here is to run the midterms on “help us build a team, and we’ll clean house.” That’s actionable. That’s exciting. You may not like your dingus of a congressman very much, but he’ll vote to impeach, and that’s the game plan.

Once we stack the deck, Johnson is out as Speaker, and then we impeach them all, starting with Vance so he can’t pull a Gerald Ford on Trump.

Going after Kennedy in the current state of things is just going to end up making us look weak.

Instead, the narrative should be “Yes. Impeachment is being considered, but as it will have to be a bi-partisan effort, we want to make sure we have built the strongest case possible.”

That sends two messages. To the administration it says, “we’re watching you and we’re talking to the people you’ve screwed over.” To voters, it says, “Give us the majority, and ‘bipartisan’ is less of a concern.”

  4. There needs to be checks and balances as outlined in the constitition. It’s too late all that is in the past.

  5. Trump’s cabinet is racking up so many impeachments that their punchcard is full next will be free.
