  1. So long as Fox news and the right wing propaganda machine exists, 70 million people will still vote for the Republicans.

  2. They just know he’s dying soon, and they all want to get in early on the “well I was never 100% on board with him anyway tbh” grift. When Vance takes over, watch millions of people, even non conservatives, fall for the new bullshit “seriousness and dignity has finally been restored in the White House” spin they’ll pull. I fear millions of people will buy it and just go back to work, so to speak. No more resisting needed, everything is normal now, as the exact same ideology continues.

  3. Speaking on behalf of the rest of the world, Americans – you need to fix this.

You’re probably thinking “I didn’t vote for him”. But collectively America has unleashed a darkhearted ghoul upon the world. A super-spreader of immorality. An avaricious fairytale monster whose name will be invoked to scare future generations of children at bedtime. A rogue.

Americans – you need to fix this. MAGA has to be rejected at the midterms.

  4. They may be turning on Trump, but watch them rally behind whoever decides to take his place.

The hate will not end with Trump because the money behind him will still exist and back someone who is more competent.

    Trumpanomics, nicely summarized:

    >…the average effective tariff rate is [18 percent](https://budgetlab.yale.edu/research/state-us-tariffs-october-17-2025)—the highest since 1934. Farmers have been hit so hard by the tariffs that Trump was [forced](https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/08/us/politics/trump-farmers-aid-bailout.html) to give them a $12 billion bailout. Trump says he’ll pay for the bailout with revenue raised by the tariffs—but the bailout is only necessary because China retaliated against the tariffs by refusing to buy American agricultural products. Trump had to give farmers a $20 billion bailout for the same reason during his first term. This is classic Trumponomics: create a problem, announce a partial fix that leaves everyone worse off than where they started, and declare victory.

  6. I suspect there’s going to be an awful lot of “His ideas were good, he just went about it the wrong way” coming.

  7. >This is classic Trumponomics: create a problem, announce a partial fix that leaves everyone worse off than where they started, and declare victory.

This article provides a good history of Trump’s failures, but the above quote sums everything up quite nicely. Trump knows how to destroy. He does not know how to build. He knows how to brand and monetize He does not know how to create. He is the worst of human nature incarnate. He represents our childish fears, our pettiness, our envy, our greed, our hatred.

  8. Too late. I mean, sure, I’m glad they’re turning. But it’s so fucking late to be waking up to this.

  9. Oh, I’m sure millions upon millions of them will instantly forget the real and active harm they’ve done to themselves as soon as the next political ad cycle spins up in earnest and they’re reminded that the alternative to their suffering is a democrat.

  10. That just means that they are ready for the next charlatan that comes along. Doesn’t give me a whole lot of warm fuzzy feelings.

Will believe it after midterms are done. Show me with votes not articles and complaints.

Not sure why Americans are concerned about this. It’s not like there will be free elections in that country for a very long time.

  13. KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla on

All that means is they are gearing up to throw their support and votes behind the next morally corrupt, hateful, inept dud that comes barreling through their revolving door of idiots.

  14. Ok-Replacement8236 on

These people need to get out of their bubbles.

MF is still hugely popular here in Southeast Wisconsin

  15. Downtown_Category163 on

That’s some nice stable-door bolting for a bunch of dumb, easily exploitable rage monkeys

  16. ITS TO LATE, yes some are having buyers remorse but there is nothing that can be done his regime has control and untill the next election they will do what they want.

  17. separation_of_powers on

    Too little too late

The fact that this festering sack of flesh was elected twice

Generations will pass before anyone trusts America again.

  18. Made_Human_Music on

I’ll believe it when the MAGA sickness is purged from our government and stays gone even when the next president isn’t perfect

MAGA needs to be shunned so hard we never see another outbreak again

  19. Well unfortunately, the damage will be done. They voted for this and we’ve seen the wholesale destruction of American fabric, at home and abroad. This won’t be a “next guy will fix it” sort of phenomenon as usual. This is the world will never trust Republican control again, and rightfully so.

  20. ThatGuyFromTheM0vie on

Just as fast as they turned on the Civil War! The Confederacy was removed years ago, right guys?

  21. Is this “hard turn” gonna stop us from killing a bunch of Venezuelans? Or is that still on the table?

  22. Random and totally off topic question, but did Trumo ever willingly release his tax returns? I remember some leaking here and there, but did mister “they’re under audit” ever willingly do it himself?

  23. humanity_go_boom on

No. They’re just being primed for a replacement figurehead. We’ll start this whole ridiculous 8-12 year cycle over again once they latch onto another narcissistic grifter promising them an isolationist, white utopia.

  24. Nope. They aren’t done smoking the entire carton of their vote. They all will need food stamps and not have them before this is over. And then the blood selling will begin. And then prostitution. When they are sucking d*ck for an apple, they’ll just be starting to learn about the consequence of voting.

  25. How it is possible we elected the obese clown baby President AGAIN, first?

Oh that’s right, Fox News and morons.

  26. Where exactly because trump is doing whatever he wants still, including starting war in South America so he can cancel voting – a plan they have expressed outright

  27. So what? He’s still president with increasingly more power every single day for at best, three more years. And at best, he has no more campaigns to run. What does he care? Obviously he thinks he’s the greatest genius president who ever lived and nothing will ever change that.

  28. DiscipleOfDiogenes on

Too late. Damage is done. It will be the work of generations, trying to repair our relationships and the trust the world had in the US.

  29. Are they? These sorts of declarative titles implying some sort of major accomplishment or political shift are complete trash.

  30. The United States just needs their conservative party to get back to practicing mainstream conservatism and to pull away from the blatant far right extremism. They need a referendum of some kind because the system is clearly broken.

  31. Bullshit. I am still seeing trump merch everywhere. The crabby fuck next door said it’s all libral lies and Orange Poolius is winning on every level.

  32. NotTheRightHDMIPort on

They did this with George W Bush when he was unpopular. I was a kid during the time and didnt know that much but I did see people accuse Democrats of hating our troops.

  33. Wishilikedhugs on

Just remember, we need to completely tie JD Vance to every single bad policy and every terrible stance. Even though he has the charisma of a wet sock and I think he’d flounder in a primary (like DeSantis), he has big backers.
