    He’s lying.

I live in North Carolina. All the old furniture manufacturing plants are now apartment buildings.

  2. All this money that’s going to the government from tariffs. Where is this money actually going? It’s been about 7 months now of collecting this. Does anybody know where it’s actually going?

  3. I own a business that manufactures products in the US and I had to cancel hiring and expansion this year because of his tariffs increasing my monthly overhead by almost 23%.

As a Canadian, this was the first Trump speech I’ve seen and I can’t believe what I just saw. Dude goes up, talks shit for 30 mins, says he’s the best at this and that, unironically refers to himself in 3rd person a lot, and then says merry Christmas lol. How the hell did this blob win

He kept going on about what numbers were last Jan, curious what they were when Biden took office after his first term…? Wasn’t Biden’s economy when he left better than when he started? If so, Dems should be hitting that point hard.

BTW I paid 3.05/gallon for regular gas today.

  6. Remember when that racist in GA tried to call ICE on Hyundai and the company got so offended that they questioned if they wanted to even do business in that state? I do

Yeah blanket tariffs don’t work. Like you can’t and shouldn’t bring back 100% of businesses. Some businesses would lose money if we tried to produce the product in the United States . We don’t need to be making stupid shit like toasters. If he did targeted tariffs yeah that’s fine but fuck we can’t compete with temu or those low profit companies and we shouldn’t want to.

You could use protectionist tarriffs to protect fledgling industry, but tax incentives can be much better targeted and not as aggressive. however that would require there to be fledgling industry to begin with. Biden’s BBB plan was a tepid first step that needed follow through and targetted expansion. Growing an economy is a bit like gardening. You don’t do everything at once so not everything has the same cycles, and not everything can be planted all at once. some plants need more fertilizer, some more nitrogen or potassium and different plants need different sunlight and water. So to different businesses need to be built at the right time to take advantage of market conditions to grow and esustainably expand. Businesses thrive with robust competition and lower market barriers allows for new players to innovate. By the same token some old business needs to die because the do not adapt. Some businesses can only exist as customers or vendors of other businesses.

Republicans don’t understand the ecosystem of it all. They just think short term profits instead of long term relationships. Pedo Trump thinks negotiations are about getting one over your vendor or customer when negotiations are about establishing laying business relationships between businesses. To build manufacturing bases you need to focus short and long term. You need to take your profits and reinvest each year in your employees and your capital to make products and services. You don’t give bonuses to executive for whom the company could run just fine without, and you don’t pay dividends to shareholders who really don’t do shit.

  9. Bring back manufacturing you say?

Hey remember when ICE raided the Hyundai plant that was trying to bring manufacturing state side, and then arrested and deported all the workers? How did that work out?

After the three-trillionth lie people will still believe this pedophile and traitor to this nation. Trump belongs in a cell and should have to pay for his second recession.

  11. Trump lying is pretty much his standard setting. The fact that some people still believe him is the concerning part.

  12. The sheer number of building vacancies in this country is astounding and a sign things are not looking great.

    Trade deficit is down…yay?

Prices are up and manufacturing is down so again.. yay?

We really let this mans demented obsession with a trade deficit, that he doesn’t understand at all, destroy the economy.

  14. You mean to tell me the data, we already had from past tariffs, plus simple logic, combined with every single economist saying this was going to happen – actually happened!? And it’s backed by data!?
