I agree with your sentiment but honestly I think they hate them because it’s seen as an easier barrier to entry when your ultimate goal is suppressing women in general.

any trans bill is a poison pill, no matter the intent. Transgender health is poorly understood among the voting blocs that are essential to winning. Any “pro-transgender” legislation will be touted by the GOP as some sort of child abuse initiative.

They don’t hate trans people for their freedom and all that, all that is giving them too much credit. They simply hate anyone different from them and seeing the power it gives them to bash a small group of people who others fear for being different as well. It’s been done for ages but it’s never because they think those people are living authentically, it’s simple basic bullying the weak to gain popularity.
The goal of the republican party is to hurt people. They start with the most vulnerable. They consider the death of an “other”, be it adult or child, to be a good thing.

I hate that these three sided with the GOP on such an evil bill. But kick them out – and the Dems will lose 3 seats in the almost evenly divided House. On many issues, most issues, they voted with the democrats. Kicking them out will have consequences. We have a good chance of winning the House in the midterms – but not if we kick them out. It’s as simple as that.
It sucks that we’re faced with such stark choices – but that’s the system we have. They won’t get to do so much harm if the Dems control the house – though as we found in the Senate during Biden’s term, just a few bad apples can really screw things up.
