My theory is that the sycophants around him are enabling him, or outright giving him these ideas like the ballroom, like the arch, like putting his name on the Kennedy Center to distract him and keep him happy while the dementia settles further and further into his brain.

It already WAS an amendment. An amendment to the original National Cultural Center Act. It’s TRUMP that needs an amendment passed by Congress to change the name again, not the other way around.
In case anyone wants it, [here is the original Public Law amendment](https://www.congress.gov/88/statute/STATUTE-78/STATUTE-78-Pg4.pdf) resolved by both the House and the Senate to name the National Cultural Center the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Can’t be changed just willy nilly cause Trump wants it.
